Unfortunately I dont get to ride this bike much at all anymore since we had our son. So my wife has asked that I put my dirt bike up for sale.
Its a 2001 KTM 400 MXC. I bought the bike in 2005 from a buddy that worked at a local KTM dealer back home. It has been bored out to a 450 and has had a new 520 piston and cylinder put on in 05. When I bought it from my buddy it was already registered and legal to ride on the street. I just sent out the registration for 2007 last week, so it will be sold registered up til June 2008.
The bike has electric start, a Big Gun full exhaust system, factory connection suspension, fatty handlebars with cycra hand guards, aftermarket seat and seat cover, headlight, taillight (wired for brake light too), clear gas tank, and many more miscellaneous guards/protectors....
The bike will come with an extra set of used street tires, and a skid plate. I cant find the bracket for the skid plate but Im sure one can be ordered. The bike also came with a mounted Scotts stabilizer bracket. I think my buddy kept the stabilizer for himself. It will also come with a KTM manual.
This is by far my most fun toy, and I will hate to see it go. Its nice to not have to trailer or load the bike to have to ride. Just get on the streets and start looking for trails on the side of the road. This would also be a great bike to turn into a supermoto, I just dont have any time anymore. Its a straightup motorcross bike that you can ride legally on the road. It's a lot of fun and real fast.
I am asking $3500. I am located in the Sarasota Florida area. I will attach a few pictures and can take as many as you would like.
You will not be disappointed with this bike, it is VERY fun! I took real good care of this bike, changing the oil after just about every other ride. Oh yeah, it also has reuseable oil filters, which make changing the oil a lot cheaper. Thanks for looking.
Any questions let me know.
