not a total problem yet... but I read something in the "trans work" thread that there could be a "linkage" problem..

My 3rd gear seem to popup out if I do a girl shift (just lightly shifting to 3rd gear) and accelerate hard off..
it actually doesn't pop OUT of 3rd gear.. just a rough TGHH so it pops into 3rd gear completely. After that I can accelerate as hard as I want without worrying about it happening again.

Is it possible that something (what?) has been worn down and the linkage is now longer than what it should be? (hence it popping "out of gear" if I don't pull into 3rd correct really hard).

I have a hard time explaining.. is there anyone here that know what I'm talking about?

Sounds like you are just not getting it all the way into gear, and it is poping into place on it's own.

The linkage he is referring to is the shifter lever shift linkage. You can turn it to move the shift lever up or down.
