Well I am disapointed by the pc. I will say pics on the net and seeing it in person looks great. The paint matched up very well to my silver 2002 R1. Here is where everything goes realy wrong. First of all, if you are going to pay so much money for this part you would think that they would have drilled the holes for the tag bracket, not such a big deal. Next, to put this part on which is supported by double sided tape, is no problem but to make this set up work you have to drill 2 holes right behind the indicaters on the stock undertail otherwise the eliminator does not fit flat on the undertail because there are no groves designed into the eliminator for the wires to clear to go to the original wireloom hole that is on the undertail. This on a hole might not be a big problem to many people but if you drill the hole and you want to go back to the original setup there will be 2 wholes visable to everyone behind you. To fix this problem you will have to buy a new undertail if you want to go back to stock. I also feel they should have sent original plugs that fit so you do not have to cut up you original parts. I am sure these 2 plugs would not have cost mor than $5 at Yamaha. The plugs for the tag light are standard male pin plugs that anyone could get at Radio Shack so this is not such a big problem. The tag bracket they sent did not line up with the little black bracket that holds the tag to the undertail I will have to have that pc redrilled or have one made by someone. So I am not happy with the quality control on this product. I will be selling this part because I am not happy with the design of the part. The only way I keep this part will be if I can get a very clean used silver undertail so that I can drill the holes in it. Andreas Miko :no

I agree completly. Robert did not do a complete job when designing his under-tail system for the 02 R1 and I am very disappointed as well. My under-tail system already has lots of nicks in the paint due to it not being hardy enough for where it is. In time I will scrap this crappy piece I bought and go back to the STOCK undertail since no one seems to be able to make one half-way decent. Yammy1:no :no :no
