Ok, I will try and keep this post updated and organized as things come together. If I miss something let me know. Monday-Friday at 6:30pmish will be dinner on Shuckstack Road. Yeah, you pretty much nailed it. The sushi run, Bogie and I started last year. Leave out on a relaxed run up to Knoxville and gorge at a Japanese steak house. Relaxed ride back stopping for lots of photo ops. The moto-x ride, those crazy wankers bring their own if I'm not mistaken. Where in Central Floriduh are you? I'm in Lakeland.

Randy, I was looking at Fontana's site today and it looks like they may put together ww rafting now. As kirk says, don't think James is showing up in these parts. You might as well forget that. Chad, where's the ORV trails? There is Upper Tellico ORV over near the Cherohala and also Ron Taylor ORV near Franklin.

Someone want to head up the white water rafting trip? I am quite certain southern won't be doing it this year. Also, looks like Fontana has something on their site about WW rafting trips so whoever does this may can work though Fontana on it. That would make it a lot easier!

Randy, I was looking at Fontana's site today and it looks like they may put together ww rafting now. As kirk says, don't think James is showing up in these parts. I know. I was just trying to call him out hoping he would get his personal issues worked out with a tax refund check and still join us for the Convention like he always has. Hoping he might chime in. :) Wow, pretty cool if Fontana is doing the whitewater thing now. I did it in '05 and got banged and bloody up pretty good. Of course our guide was just like aTommy Chong stoner and gave us what we asked for. It was fun.

Five of us went last year, had a good time but the water was cold as hell. I think I'll skip it this year as riding the Gap is a lot faster and more exciting. Count me in for the Sushi Run though, that was some good eatin'.

I live on the coast of Lake Huron and you're lucky if the water breaks 60 degrees in the summer... even that's not TOO cold. :lol A bunch of guys just did a polar bear swim... they have to dodge ice burgs when they're in the water.

Ok let's start a list of people that would like to do this. This list is not a set in stone list. It is more for seeing what we are dealing with. 1. streetjester (all gear) (full set of spare)

Just about everything. I've got an extra wetsuit, boots, gloves, mask and I could probably put another set of regulators together if I locate a spare SPG, but only one BCD. You can use what I've got, and I'll work with Goobr if he's interested. Hey Streetjester: Are you proposing a day or night dive?

I tell you this is some interesting stuff.

With the fact that none of us have got wet together and maybe some new guys. Day is the best bet. Plus night dives are a advance thing not as fun for the new people. You thinking about doing it Chad.

:bsI can handle 75f :fact :lol Growing up in Miami, I used to never handle anything under 80 degrees, but now that I an living further upstate, I can handle 72 degrees at best (but only when the are no clouds to block the sun). There is a state park with a spring that is 72 degrees year round, that is the coldest I can go for any length of time.

Well I am happy to see it is catching peoples eyes. Just remember that we need a few people that have done it for a while to do this event. Other wise I won't have anyone to pair up the fresh fish with. But as scott said this is a must try thing. Great fun.

Damn, I sold all my dive gear a few years ago. Last time I dove was off of West Palm Beach/Fort Lauderdale area. I still hold a Naui cert.

It would be fun to do some torrent rides if we can't figure out the WW rafting.. torrents look like this: http://www.coosaoutdoorcenter.com/torrent.jpg I have done it before and can be quite relaxing and/or fast paced, of course teh rapids won't be near as big as with a raft

I'm sure the girls ride at the Convention will have a following. There is you, Killer Curves and LadyBandit12S that I know of so far. You should start a thread and see what kind of interest you get. I am not sure how many lady riders are attending so far.

so is there going to be any MTB riding. i really think it would be to late to head up a a whitewater trip. i have always had to book that about a month and half. it has always been a blast every year the only problem is over the years people say they are coming and dont and who ever puts the deposit on the card they get stuck with the bill
