Time to rebuild the yz250f and am looking at pistons now. some questions for the experienced guys.
Will i lose some RPM if i go with higher comp. Stock is 12.5 and Wiseco makes some race pistons in +.75 and +1.25 i think it was. I cant afford to lose my high rpm's cause i race mostly 450's. But i def need need more grunt coming out of the corners.
Race piston... how long do they usually last? with regular oil changes etc...could they last a season? i assume theyre "race" cause theyre lighter which means they are most likely weaker.
should i stick with stock piston and maybe just look for a thinner head gasket?
anybody with any experience rebuilding a 250f please chime in with any tips, secrets, techniques etc.
