Rhynocerus 09-12-2009, 04:54 AM Discussed the Reservoir Tubing Size wayyyyy back with Uncle Ron and I am having trouble relocating the thread where we talk of it.
'07 - '08. Whats the Tube size for the front and rear reservoir ???
Since you guys dealt with it.

I don't have an 07/08 but on my 02 the rear master will accept 9-10mm ID, and the stock front master will accept 6mm ID tubing.
The green HRC kits most sell are for the rear and are too big for front reservoir/master cylinder applications. Another issue with HRC tubing is that it is not as flexible as the Yoyodyne clear and becomes stiffer with age, more so than the Yoyodyne clear.
My HRC rear tubing hasn't sweated yet, and my front Yoyodyne clear does not sweat. Blur1 and I have probably tried all the different tubing out there between us, both of us have had several different tubing manufacturers that have sweated, both clear & green. Most of the green tubing (HRC & Ten Kate Honda) recommend frequent tubing changes (3-6 month intervals).
The best results as far as longevity and sweating for me have been with the Yoyodyne clear, but the issue with the clear is the fluids tend to oxidize/turn brown within a season, whether that's just down to use and being more visible with the clear or the clears lack of UV protection I don't know.
armydgp 09-12-2009, 07:40 AM Man really nice bike, i was wondering about getting a carbon fiber tank cover, not sure how it will look with a blue bike, but that GYTR triple cover is nice, that was one of my first mods :). Really nice bike

Alright that rings a bell now!
Yah I just read the email I received from Fred at Yoyo and he indicated that EPDM Tubing was what we need to use on our bike. I looked for hours on end and couldnt find colored EPDM tubing.
The solution to this was to shrink a PVC sleeve over it.
Rhynocerus 09-13-2009, 04:25 PM Latinooooo, Whats with the move or 180 twist of the front reservoir ???
I know Rizoma make the two sizes of Side Outflow Windowed rezys, one outflow to the right, one to the left. I see yours is a lefty but you originally had the outflow to the right with the window facing to the nose of the bike.
Did you twist it 180 for the fact of just wanting to show the window or was other reasons ???
Now that you did that its sure a long rezy tube you need to wrap it right around.
You could have avoided this all by getting the slightly smaller windowed reservoir with the outflow to the right.
Maybe Im way off. Anyhoooo just a post of curiousity.
