2008 Convention SCUBA Diving Trip

I am making this a thread now as it seems to be taking off. http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=223184&page=3 We are looking for as many as we can get to go. Yes If you have never done this you can, if we have a master diver or close to it for you to dive with. As well as the gear. Some of us have extra gear. Also we can do repeat dives. That is not yet set. We are just getting lists of people that want to do it. Then we will go from there.

Cool... been waiting on this thread. I'm still trying to find a decent dive shop so we can get tanks/gear. Oh... I'm actually a divemaster, not a master diver. Just means I can be held liable :hammer:. I'll post on what shops etc I find here.

I can rent local and bring with me if need be. Especially since I prefer steel tanks at or above 100 cu ft, with DIN valves.

I have one AL 80 and one Steel 80

I have one AL 80 and one Steel 80 Wow... you must be a light breather. I could get about 80 to 100 minutes at about 60 feet on one of those, but I prefer diving with about 150 to 175 percent of what I would need alone.

I am a easy breather. In school they thought I was skip breathing.

I'm simple... open circuit gear only. I've been doing some research and I'm going to post a gear list soon. It may help people decide on this. I'm bringing SCUBA gear either way. I think it would be cool to dive the Fontana Dam, but I'm not sure how many people are clear to do something like that. That would be a challenge on compressed air.

Count me and Patric in, Im Padi Certified and dive all the time "I live in Key West" But we would need tank etc.

Yes it is going to be a test run this year. Those that have there own gear can come. Other wise we will be taking only a few others for a few minutes, they know who they are.
