Bought this puppy used off of eBay actually. It's set up with a threaded base made from billet aluminum and comes with two black delrin sliders. The base is pretty solid, and fits neatly inside of the opening for the swingarm axle/nut. They must suspect that the base will not be damaged in a fall as they provide a pair of pucks for the base, which I'm hoping is a good sigh. The sliders are tapered, and look pretty good on the bike. So did the base after a buddy of mine powdercoated it to match the frame!
It's out of the way, and looks like it would do it's job when necessary, mounting onto the swingarm axle and using the factory nut. I only hope I never have to revisit this thread to let people know how it held up in a slide!
