Congratulations:thumbup That's your homeboy, isn't it? I didn't get to see the race Friday, I had to work, and I hate trying to figure out how to program the VCR. I'll have to see if SpeedNascar is going to re-air it. I'll be glued to the tube tomorrow for sure:D Has anyone else seen the Matrix-like '02 R1 commercial they aired in the middle of the Daytona SX today? It was cool as hell. I'd like to have it on tape, it looked like Rich Oliver was in it....poor dude, I can't believe they had to amputate his finger:eek:

Yeah, Jimmy's a friend and lives in Eugene, about 30 miles from us. EXTREMELY nice kid, very modest, but smooth and fast. He is a good friend of Jonah's and came to PIR last year twice just to watch Jonah win in the 125gp's.:D I think Sadowski really underestimated Jimmy's ability when he passed Pegram. He made like it was a tactical move on Pegram's part to " let him by ", but it was real clear who was riding better, smoother lines, and pulling away;) In all honesty, I think Jimmy was fortunate to have finished, and fortunate to have not had a black flag thrown for oiling the track. He got 15th in the 600ss also, and anytime you get into top 20 there, with 15 or so of these guys riding for the factory or on satellite B teams, you are doing good. Watch for him in the 200 tomorrow, they will throw slicks on his ss bike and he'll probably finish top 20 there also:yesnod :thumbup Yeah, bummer about Oliver:( The R-1 commercial is ok too

I was thinking the same thing about him being black flagged when I went back and read the race description on AMASBK.com. Maybe his bike was running good being that loose:lol Didn't you say your son was riding an Aprilia? Is he racing the 125 or 250 class? We met Vicky Jackson Bell once at Rd. Atlanta, she's pretty awesome, and I rode an RS125 one day there at a Keith Code school- the most fun I've ever had on a bike. That's pretty much the extent of my 125 experience:(

We are behind the 8 ball a little this year:( Jonah won the 125 championship here last season on the Aprilia. Vicky is VERY quick on a 125! Jonah never faced her head to head last season, but his lap times were the same as hers ( very quick), and he weighs 152, not huge, but his teamate Nobi Iso ( the fastest 125 rider in the US ) is 5' and weighs 105. Every 7 lbs = 1hp, and even tho Jonahs 160lb Aprilia dyno'ed at an amazing 48rwhp, his size gave nobi a big advantage. Jonah will be on the 97' RS 250 Aprilia with updated parts, Nobi will be on the updated 99. we were pumped with Sorensen and salveria's results , Salveria's bike is an OLD piece of s**t, so great ride from him from the back of the 2nd row. Jonah's AMA # is 173, so lookk for him. He'll make a little noise in the class, I GUARANTEE it;) :thumbup
