i thought i'd share some experiences i have with my gear in hopes to help my fellow riders that may be looking to buy the same...
LIDS-
Arai Quantum /f, Anthracite: great lid all around, and fits my melon nicely...had to change out cheek pads for smaller size but i like that it has the ability to do so...only thing i don't care for is the shield locking mechanism and it's not so simple for shield changes compared to others...wind noise and fogging is minimal...venting is good...
KBC TK-8, Blue: decent lid for the price...smoked shield was only $20 but is not UV protected...doesn't fit so snugly and isn't as sturdy as the Arai...wind noise is noticeable but fogging is minimal and the venting is good...
Shoei RF-900, Phantom: graphics is awesome and it fits very comfortably...downside, no removeable padding at all and no pull-down shin guard like on the Arai's...also, it fogs like a mofo although the venting seems decent...there is some wind noise as well...and my silver tinted visor looks sharp, but on the inside it reflects alot so it's kind of distracting...
GEAR-
Teknic, 2002 2-Pc. Lightning suit, blue: decent suit for the price with full padding and knee sliders...downside, it fits horribly for me...very tight in the crotch area and isn't all that comfortable...be sure to buy one size up if getting it...
Joe Rocket Phoenix Jacket, black: what can i say?...it's awesome for those cruising times in the summer...and when it get's a bit chilly, i just throw in a liner and it's not all that bad...don't know how well it will fare in a crash, but it does have armor so it's better than nothing...
Fieldsheer Titanium Jacket, black/blue: another great summer jacket...seems to fit more nicely than the JR one and is cheaper...also seems a bit sturdier...
Belstaff Jacket: i'm not sure of the model but i think Belstaff is a great quality product...fits great and has great protection...
Dainese Fluid Jacket, black/blue: i absolutely love this jacket...looks and feels great...very simple with subtle styling...very clean and not too flashy with all the quality of Dainese...fits great and is good for cold weather riding...
GLOVES-
Joe Rocket Tommy Hayden rep: looks sweet with the chrome knuckles...fits great and breaks in nicely...comfortable and has little vents in them to provide a bit of air flow...good in summer, bad in winter...
BOOTS-
Side Vertabra 2, black/blue: best boot EVER...period...
