Love to see 1998 thru 2001 R1 be represented in this forum. Good job, check out some pazzo levers, you won't be disappointed.

AF - How much do you have that lowered? I take it you don't have twisties near you? And if you do, how much different is the handling from stock?
Nice looking ride!

Im going to start this with im only 5 foot 8 with a tall upper body...so im pretty dam short and i have shorter legs then most 5'8 guys. and i only weigh 130 so without the bike being lowered it sucked for me because i was pretty much always on my toes when stopped. (main reason i got it lowered so dam much). Honestly im not sure how lowered it is! i just know its lowered alot i would say 3-4 inches as for the ride i like the ride alot better...being lower to the ground it lowers the gravity level it takes a tad bit more to lean/turn but its smoother and less distance to travel while on the leans. I used to have an R6 that wasnt lowered and i feel with it being lowered it gave me more control overall with leaning and turning. secondly...it looks bad ass compared to a bike that isnt lowered when you put two bikes next to each other. on the downside trying to move the bike anywhere!!! is impossible other then by riding it there. so unless you own a truck whos bed is on the ground or can lift it from the ground up...it sucks trying to get the bike onto anything. hope this helps and go for the lowering kit if you dont travel with your bike alot its def worth it
