KILL4FAYGO 03-01-2008, 01:22 AM Man this stuff is great bike never felt so smoothe in shifting . here is a few pics of the old oils color vs the new oil. i let a few drops of the new motul in the old oil pan . thank god my homie works at motul or it would break my pocket ar around 15 bucks a quart i think i seen it for 13.
yankin&bankin 03-03-2008, 11:26 PM So have you noticed any change in the bike since switching to the Motul?
XStuNTeR6X 03-04-2008, 12:37 AM i bought that for my 06 R6 when i had it. it really is amazing. bike ran noticeably cooler. idled smoother. and revved faster in neutral. pretty sweet shit but its $$$.
KILL4FAYGO 03-04-2008, 02:04 AM So have you noticed any change in the bike since switching to the Motul? well im pretty new with bikes but yes from whatever it came with when i bought it its a noticable difference. i have been thinking how well and smoothe it shifts lately i love it. my roomate used yamalube and i can tell the difference. his takes a little bit more pressure with the foot to shift gears. its hard for me to put in words the shift feeling .but as for price goes like i said anyone in so cal near La Verne and would like to maybe get spme oil i might be able to get some for us. at a very discounted price. first time i did an oil change i paid nothing except for my filter this time i gave the homie 40 bucks for the big gallon of oil. i didnt have to but i felt better.
I tried it yesterday at 4k miles. Im using Motul full synt 15w-50. I actually noticed a difference on the way home! Bike idels smoother and more quiet! I love this stuff! Cost like $48 a gallon though.
Elitexsenate 06-20-2008, 03:00 PM I just did my oil change with the 10-40 300V. For street riding, when should I change it again? Does this stuff last just as long as conventional? Thanks!

The fully synthetic lasts a lot longer than the mineral ones. You should be good for another 3k miles at the minimum.
xdonniedarkox 06-20-2008, 11:03 PM Best stuff around IMO... Even the Amsoil guy on the oil threads said it is amazing stuff.
All I have ever used.
And good is never cheap, atleast these days.

When you're paying that much for some oil, you're wasting your money if you can't go at least double your drain intervals, because you're paying more than double the money that the dino oil costs.

Agreed. Was just giving a conservative estimate, but I don't know if it'll last twice the normal interval.

I think wasting is a subjective term... any mod on our bike technically we add to our bike we add would be a waste. I enjoy adding the best parts I have on my bike, using the best lubricants. Also all my oil gets recycled, which I bet so does yours. I stopped pouring my oil down the drain since last year...:crash
Elitexsenate 06-26-2008, 05:44 PM Sweet, Thanks guys. My manual says my next interval is 4000 miles. I've always changed my oil after 1,500-3,000 miles. If this stuff is double the life should I go 5,000 miles till my next change just watching the level?
Elitexsenate 06-26-2008, 05:46 PM 2007 Manual = intervals at 400, 1500, 4000, 9000 and 12000 miles. I know a lot of companies are saying cars go 5,000 and more before an oil change, but does that hold true with a performance streetbike?

A supersport or any other bike, canNOT match the interval change of a car. A bike runs at 3 to 4 times the RPMs PLUS the oil also lubricated the clutch. I go about 7500 miles in my car on Mobil1...I go around 1500 in my bike also using Mobil1 4T.

Theoretically, I really don't think you'll have any problem going 5000 miles on a full Group IV, full-ester synthetic oil.
In fact, you could probably go longer with no problem at all.
My problem would simply be overcoming the terrible feelings of guilt I would start having after the mileage passed about 3000!:lol
If you're almost OC about your oil, like I am, then you'll start getting almost uncontrollable urges to drain the oil at around 2500 miles!
Ok guys! My 15w-50 motul about a week ago started turning black.... I KNOW THATS NORMAL for synt oil! But ever since the oil started to get black, down shifting has become a LITTLE bit difficult in low rpm and when i pull in the clutch all the way, it is still SLIGHTLY engaged! ITS ANNOYING! Maybe that visc is too thick but it was the only one the motorcycle store had in stock! Im going to change it to 10w-40! Just letting you guys know so that you dont make that expensive mistake like i did! Now im going to slap myself then, buy a gallon of the 10w-40! Safe ridding guys!
