Ovrclck350 04-09-2008, 03:03 PM I just finished installing my new Alarm and I have to say I'm quite impressed.
It's plenty loud, and while I'm still in the process of adjusting the perimeter sensor (to make it LESS sensitive) this alarm seems to be great.
One of the best features is the RFID sensor. You don't have to remember to arm/disarm your bike. When you kill the ignition, it pre-arms. When you walk away, it'll arm itself. When you walk back up to the bike, you don't have to remember to disarm it. It senses that your key fob is near and disarms when you turn the ignition on. This also means you can start putting stuff in the tail storage or set your helmet on the bike without having it go off b/c you forgot to disable it. I haven't installed the ignition disable yet b/c I haven't had time to look up which wire to splice into. If anyone knows the correct color of the fuel pump wire to splice for an 02 R1, please PM me.
Sensor range works great. I have to park roughly 1/8 mile or so from my apt and the signal reaches my pager even inside.
I also installed a Boost Mobile prepaid phone in my bike ($0.35/day) running Accutracking. I can look at my bike online anytime to see where it's at using Accutracking.com (~$8.00/month). The site text messages my phone whenever my bike leaves it's home or my work location, or travels faster than anything I set as my speed limit. For less than $20/month I figured this was a little bit of extra protection.
ImNotAsCoolAsU 04-09-2008, 03:30 PM Interesting, how well does the accutracking thing work?

It's as accurate as your phone is, which is pretty accurate. It's been dead on for mine. I have it set to take readings every 2 minutes. It sends a text message to my personal cell phone every time my bike leaves 200 ft from my home or when my bike exceeds 80mph (You can adjust all that). It takes the 2 readings and calculates out the average speed between the 2. Trying to beat the rain home tonight I got a text that said 152.
R1_Punisher 04-20-2008, 06:43 PM I was thinking of picking up a system. I would go fetal for a month if my bike was stolen. How long and how involved is the install. What kind of space requirements are there for boxes, etc?
Ovrclck350 04-20-2008, 07:31 PM It's 3 ½ x 2 ½ x ¾ according to their website. It's pretty small.
I had to send my perimeter sensor back to them though for repair/replacement. I could leave the bike in the middle of a parking lot and watch it just randomly beep warnings and go into full alarms with no one around it. That was with the sensitivity turned all the way down.
Ovrclck350 04-20-2008, 07:32 PM BTW, if you get the SR-I900, don't get the RFID sensor wet. Until it dries out the range is almost non-existant. I had it under my seat and I set the ignition alarm off a few times b/c it wouldn't read the key fob from the rear seat to the triple tree.
sxspdlgnd 04-21-2008, 11:26 AM Get Your Self A Battery Tender Cause This Thing Kills Your Battery Real Fast...especially With The Perimeter Sensor... :(

HOW MUCH?
Ovrclck350 05-17-2008, 05:40 PM HOW MUCH?
The cost w/o phone is, $7.99/month (Accutracking) and $0.35day for the prepaid plan.
The phone itself you can order online, at a store, or order it with the pre-installed software from them. I bought mine from Circuit City for I think $60 or so. I got the cheap one.

LATIN 05-17-2008, 07:48 PM lol i can get it for 350.00
Ovrclck350 05-17-2008, 08:19 PM Good for you, although I didn't see anyone asking you.
Did you seriously come in here and ask me just so you could tell me how much YOU can get it for? Why ask if you already had a price?
I guess I should go kill myself now because you can save $150. What's pathetic is you feel the need to cloud up a review of the product just so you can brag or feel good about it or whatever.
Ovrclck350 05-17-2008, 08:20 PM Or are you just trying to sell your products when you're not a paying sponsor?

Where can you get the 900 for 350? Is that with the battery, harness, prox sensor?

OvrClokr... Thanks for the heads up on the Accutracking. Really appreciate it. Best GPS system I have seen and I have been looking in earnest. Dont worry about Latin, but of grumpy ol' bastid's here, and some ego's too. :thumbup
Speed_Devil 05-17-2008, 10:47 PM This is def. something I need to look into. Sounds like a wicked system. Sorry you have to park so far from your apartment. That sucks.
Speed_Devil 05-17-2008, 11:00 PM I'm not taking sides but I did find this for those who are interested. Its in the middle of the 2 $ amounts...

no sorry i didnt mean that way im just telling rider to look ( shop around ) frist .....im going to order one that why i was asking u the price that all
Ovrclck350 05-19-2008, 02:22 AM I have the phone velcro'd to the inside of my tail fairing. It's accessible from my trunk section, but not in the way.
Currently I have a charger plugged into the battery via an all-weather 12V lighter plug, but they do make solar chargers I could mount up to the bike...I just haven't really found a place that I'd like to mount it.
I charge my bike itself if I don't ride it for 2 days or more. I commute with it so that's not common unless it rains. On day 3 it won't start b/c of the drain from the battery and alarm.
xdonniedarkox 05-19-2008, 07:49 AM Do you mean that on day 3 of use it wont start? Thus needed a trickle charge basically all the time? Sorry to sound like a dolt, just want to get a sense of what the facts are... thanks Ovrclcl350 :thumbup
Ovrclck350 05-19-2008, 04:58 PM No I only have to charge it if I don't ride it bc the cel phone charger pulls the battery down eventually.
timmaayy2323 02-04-2009, 09:41 AM I got the Scorpio SR-i600 its sweet
