180/55 or 190/50 ?

Im in the process of getting new tires.. would you guys go for the 180 or the 190 tire? i dont go to the track but i like to drive strong here in curvie Tennessee.. any procons on the 180 vs 190 ? thanks!

Go stock, they made it that way for a reason, Pilot Powers or Diablo Corsa III's.

the 55 series is going to be easier to turn on, better leaning radius. you can get a 190/55 too. try looking at the two side by side. i prefer the 180/55 over the 190/55. then the 190/50. it all depends on the way you ride and your terrain i would say. you can fit a 200/50 on there if you want the widest possible looking tire as well. it's all up to you.

i would have to agree with streetsleeper on the 180/55 lean angles. less tire to turn into the corners.

That's not what makes a tire better. You tried man... some won't listen. Soon as I run through my remaining 180/55s it will be 190/55 for my. SO glad that size is finally circulating.

Nothing wrong with a good 190/50. It's the 180/55 on a 6" rim that I'd worry about. Most people switch from a crappy model 190/50 to a high end 180/55 and assume that it's the size that's the benefit. The reality is that the 180 tire on a big bike lacks edge grip and drive grip.
