$exy_Dirty 04-20-2008, 11:33 PM Okey Fellas I need some expert help bad! ;) Well doesn't have to be an expert I just need a sure answear. I have read though all the posts and haven't found a solid answear yet, alot of "it should, i think it will, i dont see why not..etc.."
Im thinking to get me a new set of 2CT's with a 190/55 in rear, after reading nothing, but good reviews on 55 VS 50. Now THE QUESTION is: I have a 2004 model, "stock sprockets" Will I have any problems fitting/hitting the swingarm with the Michilen 2CT? especially concerned about the 2CT's rather than Corsas or similar.. cuz the 2CT' seem to be more pointie "taller" anyways any info is appriciated. Thanks
$exy_Dirty 04-21-2008, 12:16 PM no one has Michelin PP 2CT' in 190/55 on their 04-05 R1?? :)
DROnSF 04-21-2008, 11:41 PM You will NOT have a problem, and will NOT need to make adjustments.
$exy_Dirty 04-22-2008, 12:23 AM thanks again buddy :) anyone knows whos got the best deal? Im about to pay 312.99 shipped for 120/70 & 190/55 is that as good as it gets? thanks
DROnSF 04-22-2008, 12:26 AM Yeah that doesn't sound bad at all.
Remember there are also other great tires out there. ;)
But then again I have heard nothing but great things from the 2ct's

nivlac10 04-26-2008, 10:41 PM Let us know what u think of them when u get them fitted
yankin&bankin 04-27-2008, 08:00 PM You're probably going to want to consider going -1 on the countershaft sprocket with a 190/55.
The increased diameter of the 190/55 makes the already stratospheric gearing of the 04+ R1 even taller, and you will notice the slower acceleration.
But then again, you may not be concerned with it so much.
HUMBERTO R1 04-28-2008, 09:58 AM Hi:
I just notice this thread and i was wondering what's the big difference between 50 vs 55 anyways??

EESTA 05-02-2008, 10:01 PM 2cts are great tires.I beat them hard and they hold up really well! Warm them up and it seems you can lean that bike as far as you want!
R.Stunna 05-03-2008, 07:35 PM Got my set of PP's from www.derbycycles.com ... and yes, they do have 190/55's.
Irish01 05-04-2008, 05:46 PM Well actually didn't get mine on till Saturday. LOVE the 55 rear, man what an incredible difference. As soon as you even think about leaning it over it does it for you,, effortlessly :thumbup And yes they grip as well as they always have on my other bike. Great tires, glad i tried the taller tire for sure :)
