I know it's pretty much un-altered but I like the original looks :rock Bought it a year ago with only 5k miles and have spent the winter replacing a few parts and giving it some TLC. I know the newer models give more BHP but the delivery of the power on the '98 is something special :flex:

Hey, that looks familiar... http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=230881 That's a nice bike, and no miles at all compared to mine! You're a lucky guy. You are not wrong about the power delivery of the '98 bike. I wouldn't like to ride mine hard without its Ohlins equipment...

I just sold my 98 not too long ago, and I really miss it!! I loved how aggressive that bike was. I felt like the bike wanted to spit you off whenever you got on throttle hard. That was my favorite bike I've owned by a long shot.

Clean ass bike! I was looking at my 2000 and a 1999 parked side by side the other day and was surprized at how many styling changes there were. I'd keep that 1 forever
