I polishes the rear lip because I saw a Kawi z1000 and they come with polished rims, and I really enjyed the way it looked, wasnt chrome but it was nice.

did you polished it yourself? was it hard to do? I want to do it for my r6 but don't have a clue how this is done. Any advise.

Yeah I did it my self, All you really need to do is Take off the wheel, Go to the Walmart or whatever hardware store is by you, Purchase Air Craft Stipper (the gel not the can) some foam or regular paint brushes, masking take and some 2000 grit sand paper or 00 steel wool. Apply the stripper to the parts you want the powder coat gone wait 45 min and use the steel wool to remove any podercoat that may be left behind, Let the gel do the work if there are stubborn parts reapply the gel and wipe clean. Nah I really like the way the back looks I would do the front but there isnt much of a lip there...that and I kinda grew with the look. Thank you
