Cycle Gear is doin their anual one day sale for these tires you can get a set 120/70/17 and 190/50/17 for $179.98. Its a hell of a deal but I need to know if these tires are worth a crap.

For everyday riding they are great. Get real aggressive and they can slip since they are not as sticky as the HyperSport tires on the market.

what exactly would you call real agressive? Like tryin to get a kneee down. it would be mainly for back and forth to work ( which is why I like the price) and then just going out on the weekends hittin up the back roads and such. I dont do any track riding nor do I try to ride like a track racer on the back roads, you never know what my be around the next corner in the road. now I do get the bike far enough down that I dont have any chicken strips. Would going that low on this tire be a problem.

For the riding your talking about I don't think you will have any problems with the PIRELLI Diablo Supersport. I'd give them a try.

Tread maybe but there may be a difference in the rubber compound. (softness)

Never mind, although it has the same tread, it isn't even as sticky as the Pirelli Corsa, that comes on the 07 r1 stock the supersport is the unstickiness of this tread design
