Hi all. I have just over 1,300 miles on my new 07 R1 and have some questions. I plan on going -1 on the front sprocket and +1 on the back for my bike to get the acceleration and shift points where I want them. And now I also will be puting on a 190/55 on the rear. So my question to you all is this; When I go from 50 to 55, should I go +2 on the back sprocket to get the same "pick-up" because of the taller profile rear tire?

Do the tyres first, then make your choice on gearing

With the +2 instead of +1 you don't really lose much top end (if that concerns you) and you get a nice bottom end bonus. I'd try +2 and if it's to much just get a +1. Running a 190/50 with a -1 +2 combo which many many riders run is similar to a 190/55 with -1 +3 or just -2 front for example. Hope that helps.

Anyone on here personally know or can help be in touch with onecrazyR (http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/member.php?u=81069). A few months ago he agreed to sell me some R1 50th fairings, I paid him immediately via PayPal, he and I exchanged many emails and phone conversations, each time he promised to send me the plastics, I am yet to receive what I paid for and he will no longer take my calls or return my emails. Any help that can be provided would be appreciated. Thanks, D post this up as a new thread...
