For all of you in the market for one of these. I recently received and installed mine. I got it from McCoy's and have to say that the OEM Yamaha unit is sweet. I have heard that Acerbis made one as well and there may be others out there. Some key points of my item are as follows: 1) The finish is awesome. 2) The color is a perfect match. 3) The rubber pad is great quality. 4) The fitment is perfect. I hope this helps for your future decision.........................db

My buddy has the OEM cowl on his 02, and I think it looks sweet from far away, but when you get up to it, but when you get up close to it, there is a gap up front. For all the $$$ all this crap costs, why the hell doesn't any of it fit right? By the time you get the windscreen, the cowl, and everything else, you've got more gaps on the bike than in the "Big Book of British Smiles" :crash

My cover fits perfectly. Ask him to flip it over and see who made it. It says Yamaha on mine.

Bald Anthony: Where did you get that sweeeet screen to replace the plastic fairing behind the front wheel and in front of the radiator. Mine gets beat up with rocks and debris, and that looks like a great solution!! Please tell.... Also, I need a pad similiar to the one included on the factory solo cowl, to mount on my Sharkskinz solo rear tail section. It would make a nice backer to go on the solo tailsection. THanks.:rock

THanks.:rock I got the stainless steel screen from a hardware store in my area. They only had 1 piece left, they even forgot where they ordered it from. And for that pad I would check some hardware stores in your area for any kind of padding they might have.
