Tyres for the street

lets hear your opinions on street tyre performance. I have run Dunlops that came stock on the 06 R1 cant remember what they were but lasted 4000km. Felt confident in the dry but they used to let loose in the wet. Next set was a pair of conti sport attacks, slightly more kms 4700 great in the wet and dry but i made the mistake of purchasing 55 profile. turn in was way too aggressive for me as the 1 doesn't really need help in this department any how. Currently on a set of Avon Storm ST's cant believe it done almost 8000kms on them now. been a good tyre no break outs and heaps of confidence on them. Starting to let loose now gee i wonder why. Now im looking at the Michelin road 2, they look sweet enough and are still a dual compound so im guessing 4 to 5kms and good stick, can any one shed any light on these for me ??
