Only a few more miles to the first service then I open her up. I'm still waiting for my clutch slider and a new LP mount.

I wasn't thinking about doing that. What kind of benefit would I get from it?
FYI...............I've got a serious dent in my rear rim and I'm taking suggestions on how to fix the problem. Rookiekiller 06-13-2008, 06:54 AM Im sure u had a good time and ur bottom still hurts from the ride. right?
I punked out and trailed my bike down....................$250.00 bucks of gase each way too :dundun: mr_tyreman 06-14-2008, 06:55 AM its easier than the instructions imply, just take the three bolts out of the back of the muffler and take the lil pipe out, mine nearly fell out it was that easy... and put the cap back on.....its seriously easy as pie.......just makes the exhaust sound grunty and have bit more of a note....thats how they intend you use the pipes the restictor just makes it quiet. R.Stunna 06-14-2008, 09:06 AM Wow.... those YOSH pipes look real good! I would remove the silencers though. Rookiekiller 06-14-2008, 08:42 PM Wow.... those YOSH pipes look real good! Thanks................I'm gonna work on getting the "quiet" out now Rookiekiller 06-14-2008, 08:44 PM its easier than the instructions imply, just take the three bolts out of the back of the muffler and take the lil pipe out, mine nearly fell out it was that easy... and put the cap back on.....its seriously easy as pie.......just makes the exhaust sound grunty and have bit more of a note....thats how they intend you use the pipes the restictor just makes it quiet.
I thought it sounded on the silent side. Thanks for the help. mr_tyreman 06-16-2008, 04:57 AM heres some pics Rookiekiller 06-16-2008, 04:45 PM heres some pics
What's the sound difference like? On a scale of one to ten........ten being way louder than pre removal..........
:fire mr_tyreman 06-17-2008, 04:38 AM probebly from 7 with silencers, to 10 without.....its a bit hard to say because it takes time to bed in the exhaust and get its true sound....plus it takes time to warm up and sound at its best...i notice that after i have been riding for a lil bit it warms up and sounds grunty'er... and if i ride it hard it tends to sound better...hahahah Solo_Stunna 06-17-2008, 06:51 AM Nice yoshi pipes homey.....let me know how that sound is once you take the silencers out!!! I was at a bike mechanic today. He wanted me to know that removing those silencers will cause a drop in horse power. His 2 cents is to leave them in since Yoshimura pays the engineer millions to get the pipes right LMAO. :riding Solo_Stunna 06-19-2008, 07:27 AM Those silencers are strictly for noise control, not HP I believe. Shouldn't be an issue. Let me know how that turns out. clos02 09-11-2008, 12:54 PM Nice bike. Ive heard those pipes before not to agressive on sound but they look cool Rookiekiller 09-12-2008, 09:36 AM The pipes will never be mistaken for D&D's but i luv em anyway LOL | |
