I searched and found a lot of information on road pressures for the 2CT's - but for aggressive riding on the track I was wondering what the optimal starting COLD pressure will be. I know it depends on track and ambient temp, but what would the experts at the R1 Forum recommend for 2CT's. Also, I will be upgrading to the Power Race for my last few trackdays before leaving Europe and am wondering if it's 30 F and 22 R for the Power Race- COLD - Thanks in advance for the information and I'll be thinking about you guys when I'm at Assen on Thursday! For the Pilot Power 2CT, start at about 32 psi for track use.

On the Power Race I ran about 24r rear and 30f cold and did great on the track. This is with tire warmers.

Thanks, I'll start with those pressures and see what kind of change I'm getting and feedback from the bike. Appreciate the info.

So, 32 F and 32 R (COLD)- for the 2CT's for the track huh.... I'll give it a try....Thanks. Yeah, I'd start there on the 2CT and adjust according to feel, visual tire condition, grip, temp, etc. Now, the Power Race is a different story, as I understand it. Apparently, the Power Race requires comparatively very low pressures to achieve proper grip and longevity. This is for a couple of reasons: for one, it requires higher temperatures to realize optimum grip. Two, the sidewalls of race tires are much stiffer than those of street tires.
