Help - Need To Get To The Gap!

So, J$, r1steven, and I were all supposed to head down to the gap for the convention. As you may or may not have read J$ is no longer able to make it. I am located approx 1 hour directly north on NYC and NEED to make it down to the gap. I have no trailer and no truck to take myself and my bike down. I do not want to ride the 800+ miles each way on my bike alone. If you are in the Northeast and are heading to the gap and have any extra room please let me know. If you are in the Northeast and would be willing to carpool down to the gap please let me know. I am working on finding either a Pickup Truck or a Trailer and vehicle to use to get to the gap. I do have a friend who would be willing to ride on his bike with me if he can get the time off but I DO NOT want to ride that distance! Help Me! :( Para, don't offer up that room just yet! I'm working on it! GA, I want my T-shirt if I come or not! Can the extra money I payed for food be used to ship it to me if I end up not making it? :chair::rant

I rented a full size cargo van from enterprise last year and it worked great. Bike fit inside with plenty of room for gear. If you have no other option then this would work. Prob going to cost between 400-600 for the time. Hope to see you down there its a blast.

Olympia, I would of def. have gone down with you but i have come to the conclusion that i am going in 2009 instead. After my friend blowing his engine in the pickup truck i was using. I have looked and looked and looked for another way down but i cannot afford to rent a trailer due to how expensive this trip is not even including gas. Its hard for me to afford big trips like these due to going to school and making payments on my car. But i have a full year to save up and buy everything i need for next year.:thumbup

Go to priceline.com and name your own price for a cargo van or truck. You can probably get one for $15 a day.

Currently looking at the possibility of renting a pickup truck or cargo van and splitting the cost with a second person. A small pickup (not sure if I can fit 2 bikes in it though) would be about $280 from Wednesday - Monday but most have a mileage limit on it and its 830 miles each way for me! That plus the cost of gas would add up very quickly! Thank you all for your help and I still have not yet given up and don't expect me to until the last minute! Time to go PM le351! Wish me luck! PS - I might be willing to arrange sexual favors from my girl in exchange for a truck/trailer/donations/shipping/transport!

If you have a trailor hitch, you can rent a trailor from U-Haul for about $14 a day.
