I see alot of different types of oil out there and alot of different people have there opinions. but what would the advantages be in switching oil type?? other that user preference. can I get more from somthing other than Yamalube?? Thanks for the lesson in advanced.

Going to full synthetic makes shifting smoother, it's more expensive but you can supposedly go farther between oil changes using synthetic and it has a higher temp threshold before break down so the chance of an engine seizing up if you lose all cooling is smaller.

Just read A Study Of Motorcycle Oils (http://www.amsoil.com/products/streetbikes/WhitePaper.aspx) and decide what you want to run.

Motul 300 V Ester, Quick Change Oil Bolt Valve, Scott's Performance Billet Micronic Filter. Frequent changes, and game over. Rorlow has the same setup, very satisfied.
