wow, having the frame black like that makes a night and day difference on the look of the bike..=p that was always the set up i wanted to do a while back..then i got a house =/ oh well haha. someday ill start working on mine.

Great looking bikes! I guess it's just me but I like the looks of the older bikes so much better than the new.

even the older 1s like ours and even the 98-99s still look awesome. they look almost up to date when sitting next to the new..people ask me if mine is an 07..of course they dont know jack about bikes but it makes me happy none the less haha.

I'm getting more parts shipped in for the other projects. Firehawk(mark) warned me about building a bike from the frame up my famous last words were "it can't be this easy". And now my band i've been in since I was a teenager is starting to get back into practicing and playing shows possible regional club tours $$$$$$$ moneys flying out the window. But they're both a labor of love.

yes they did come stock with the bare AL frame its a stock 2000 swingarm but my next build is going to have a 02-03 swingarm, maybe braced if I find someone to do it.

very nice looking bikes, the older R1's still look sharp, not many sports bikes can pull that off.

i'm in love with the 2000, i think the pc'd frame and swing arm are what pulled me in.

They're getting cleaned up this weekend those pvm's are a bitch. The 00 needs new rubber I'll be putting a 190/55 on it that tire transformed the 06.

Man that brush is the answer I've been using a spray on wheel cleaner and a hand sponge with a damn toothbrush, it is only bad if I let the rear get extra dirty with chain lube and crap. Cost is the bike plus 4 or 5 grand the 00 had all new aftermarket parts the 06 I got just about all the add ons used of this forum for great prices.

Griot's is on point for cleaning stuff. Other vendors out there but Griot's works for me. Very comprehensive car and biike cleaning products. I did the same with my bike- 80% of my mods I bought pre-owned off the forum.

Not a chance I still have my big wheel:crash Yeah the 2000 has 04-06 marchesini AL wheels & the 06 PVM Al. I'm still workin on the never ending 3rd bike I want to get my stock 06 wheels powdercoated white with a black rim stripe for the 2001 hodge podge special. Its getting closer but i keep buying amps. what kind of pipe is on the 2000 and did you use a complete front end off a 04/06 or did you just switch the forks out? Great look'n bikes!
