I replaced the stock tires on my 06 Anny R1.
I replaced the D218's with Qualifiers :thumbup IMO
Anyway, I have noticed that the rear is locking up!
Now let me say, I understand the tires are not the issue, BUT
During my 100 or so mile break in, the bike is feeling shaky in the rear. Something is not right.
My question is
Do tires really upset the balance of suspension that much?
I have the suspenders worked on by a local shop at Thill, all stock but he dial them in for me. The rear seems to be IMO drifting (Thas how I can explain it)
Now for the lock up, at the same time I had the tires done, then bleed the brake fluids with Motul 600
I tore the bike down for its 1k maint (as usual) and removed the rear and all seems good, outside of a mis-alignment  (By the Shop)
Anyway, feel free to move the post if this is not good for the tires. I will be riding today to feel if what I suspect was the issue with the rear, but I still ask
Do tires really upset the balance of suspension that much?

the shaking i would belive to be the balance of the tire, it might have been done wrong, no way to really check exexpt for checking it on the machine again. If the bike is wobeling side to side that is the alignment of the tire in the swing arm, check the alignment marks and make sure they are equal. For the tire locking up, i think it is one of two things or a combination of the both, One- your old fluid was bad and that was causing your rear break to be spongy, which my be had to notice if you never knew how it was suspose to be and plus your foot really isnt that sensitive thought a boot. Two having new tires with a very small contact patch would make it easier for the tire to lock up with less pressure because there is less trying to pull the tire around.
Personally I think it is a combination of the two why you are locking up, If the shaking doesnnt change have the tire rebalanced
try this if you need more info ill try to help

Well I just got back, and I can most assuredly say the drift was caused by the mis aligned rear, also not locks.
When I had the bike up off its rear, I noticed the brakes dragging as well as it being out of align. Putting it back together, the brakes dont drag and the tire runs true.
Today a good 150 mile run proved the R1 is a straight as an arrow runner, no drift, no lock just tracking like on rails.
Thanks for the advise, I am going to have to talk to the shop about sticking that rear on :rant
