This Yamaha factory Seat Cowl looks great. She fits good also. But PROBLEM!! The cover seperates from under carriage piece after time. You need to reinforce the screws with Epoxy. Ths Cover (guiliteen) can fly off at speed and take out a fellow rider as well as scratch the piss out of the unit. In fact, I got my cover from Twisted Logic (Thanks Again Twist!!) because he was fed up with it. Basically, you need to keep an eye on the cowl screw anchor points and make sure they have not separated. If so, blob the Epoxy. Here are some pics.

When I got mine the dealer told me to locktite the screws in before putting it on the bike. Year and a half later, no problems.

Mine the screws just come loose and fall into the undertray. Luckily I have caught it each time. You would think by now they would fix the problem.

yep mine came lose too I did put epoxy around the screw but it still would pull the whole thing out. Does anyone make a better one? I like the look but hate the pain of checking it all the time

Had one, sold it. My problem was not the fit or finish, but it made me sit too close to the tank at all times. I'm 6'4, no tuckie tuck for me with it on.
