Ok yes i know there have been many many threads about these two security measures but i went to the yamaha shop today and they praise the Lojack and anytime i mentioned scorpio...oh thats shit your bike will be gone before you thought about it. and also she states that lojack now has the ability for YOU to track your bike on GPS straight from your computer (dont say that on the website) and if taken they pay up to $5500 if not recovered...last i looked it said $525 if no recovered in 24 hours...they dont even cover the installation. its not some radio frequency that you have to track down and locate. I am all for scorpio since i read the threads on here but i just want to get some die hard proof of which one is better for me. I live in an apt my bike (as soon as i get one....maybe a year or so) will be in the breezeway 10 feet below me...im upstairs, proximity alarm, tilt alarm, page function and of course CWP. will have a plate bolted down to the cement that will lock down the back tire an cover the bearings so removing the rear wheel would not be an option. under the stairs and the front tire will be locked to the accual stair case with kryptonite chain or similiar.

in my opinion they do different things, so they can't really be compared. you can just get both. The scorpio will help help prevent, but the lojack will help recover.

well, the scorpio sucks, look up Gorilla instead. i was caught up by the frenzy on this site over scorpio and went out and got it for my R6. i was standing next to a guys Busa and his Gorilla alarm went off. My gosh the difference. the sound is piercing and it has different tones. the remote is smaller, its cheaper, easier to install...just better all around. thats what i had on my R1. now i was gonna say look into a system that lets you track the bike yourself through your personal computer, but u stated above lojack can now do that. i think thats a great feature. personally i'd get both. but with full coverage insurance whats the point, unless your bike is seriously customized.
