Best of Luck...
I use PP's. Never used anything other...I drag
knees on manhole covers with those things... Speed_Devil 07-08-2008, 10:36 AM Diablo Cora III nee.dragger 07-08-2008, 10:54 AM Michelin Pilot Powers 2CT, better than the regular Pilot Powers. Meanstreak 07-08-2008, 11:48 AM Diablo Cora III
+1 :flex: Evo4Emperor 07-08-2008, 04:32 PM pilot power 2ct FTW
ridiculous grip...and actually pretty good mileage so far...
Ive been commuting on these tires for the last 2700 miles and its barely showing signs of getting flat... i guess its pretty good...
but i love these tires! Skeeter 07-08-2008, 04:35 PM What type of riding do you do? Just easy street riding? The Pilot Powers will handle it fine. If you want more grip then go with one of the new "HyperSport" street tires such as the Bridgestone BT-002RS or Corsa III. zwp 07-08-2008, 09:29 PM PP 2CT for me! Used to be a Dunlop Qualifier guy, but found they don't get the grip nor the mileage of the PP 2CT. Speed_Devil 07-08-2008, 09:42 PM The 2CT are truely a great tire....but they are wasted for just street riding. Only diff. from the Pilot Powers is the extra soft very edges of the tire. If you are not hitting this area anyway, then the 2CT tire is not needed...my .02 bumblebr1 07-08-2008, 10:11 PM I've ran pp2ct every since they came out, I live 15min from deal's gap so i'm constantly on the dragon. Love the tires, as long as you run the right pressure they are really sticky. nyyzfr1 07-11-2008, 04:35 PM I've ran pp2ct every since they came out, I live 15min from deal's gap so i'm constantly on the dragon. What do you consider the right pressure, for aggressive "dragon" type riding?
I'm on my 3rd set of 2ct's just came off a set of corsa that i only got 3k out of, i always seen 6k from the 2ct's so i went back to the pp. I usually run 34f 36r or 33f 35r but when i just ordered the last set, on my receipt they wrote " make sure you use the correct pressure, 35f 34r, opinions? zwp 07-11-2008, 06:12 PM I like that ballpark. A tire guy at the track told one of my buds that if you are running PP's and you run low pressure you are basically just wearing your tires out faster, not really getting more grip. I run 33f 34b now and it works well for the road (mostly mountain roads). bumblebr1 07-17-2008, 03:17 PM I usually will run 36f/36r when riding to work (interstate) and around town. But at Deal's Gap I will drop to 30f/27r. I agree with running a mid 30# pressure at the track b/c your tires get so much hotter than they could on an 11 mile stretch of twisties. My bud will run about a 35-36 at the track, but the tires never drop below 170degrees...(tire warmers). | |
