So I've heard of this tire in other threads. What is it?

New DOT race tire by Bridgestone to replace the BT 002. The guys testing bikes for Roadracing World were raving about them. They've got my attention and I think I'll probably try them out on my next track day.

So I've heard of this tire in other threads. What is it? It's the new superhelix composition, astro tread tire. Gives incredible sensitivity, much like you get with Kangaroo leather.:crash

:) So, is there a version to replace the BT-002RS? I love the BT-002RS, but I can't justify it for the simple reason that I wear out a rear in <2000 miles.

Damn! :scared Heavy hand?:secret: Well, let's see: I ride an R1, I weigh 215 lbs. in gear, and I do a lot of riding in Arkansas, where the roads are notoriously hard on tires. :dunno
