yankin&bankin 07-15-2008, 06:37 PM ...compared to my Pilot Powers.
If you need new tires, by all means, avoid anything made by Pirelli.
Both have been tested by me, and I'd rather run a Shinko front and a Cheng-Shin rear than an old Pirelli any day of the week!
Those Italians should take some lessons from Michelin on how to make a proper sportbike tire!
Yeah, well, I've never had any Corsa III's, but I read that they are great!
JPWarrior 07-15-2008, 07:22 PM :finger:lol:lol:lol
Skeeter 07-16-2008, 05:40 PM Hell, I ran Michelin PR's last time at the track and all week at Deal's Gap and have been very satisfied. Pirelli Super Corsa's are what I high sided on at Jennings. I've never ran Pirelli since then. Not blaming the tire. Probably more my fault. I've just had good luck with Bridgestone and Michelin.
Rodskii 07-16-2008, 05:45 PM I have always ran Pilot Powers on my old R1. Bought an 06 that had Corsa's and am not very impressed. Just don't feel as confident in the turns as I did with the Michelins. Probably all psychological though....
Paytheon 07-16-2008, 05:51 PM To each his own I guess. I'm love my Diablo Corsa III.:fact

I guess you are faster then every racer in European Superstock, considering this is their spec tire. You're yankin & bankin alright, but on your pud, not your bike.

If it is completely undetectable, that's not sarcasm. There should be some hint of joking.

racindego, dude please chill out a bit. Instead of aiming insults at Yankin&bankin how about just posting up your thoughts and opinions on Pirelli. All he's done is create a thread on a product he obviously does not like. Perhaps you have some positive experiences you can share with everyone on Pirelli? Thanks. :thumbup
Yanki&bankin, if you made the thread as a joke, well it's not funny!!! If so, PM me and I'll delete the thread.
JDollaz 07-17-2008, 05:11 PM I love my Corsa III's...190/55
I felt my OEM PP's Slip out on me twice and never once felt unstable on my Pirelli's Sooooo guess you have to try em all out Huh...
I think next season I will Try Bridge's Hopefully I like em... (tri-Comp)
schambers 07-17-2008, 06:23 PM I can tell you Y&B knows what's going on in the way of performance on a bike. I ride with him just about every weekend. Dude is pretty fricking quick in the twisties. There are some others on this board that can atest to it as well. I've seen him try many types of tires. So for him to say that the Corsa III's suck, well, that's his opinion that he's entitled to. Agree or disagree.
I am actually running the Rosso's and have no issues with them. Never have tried the Corsa III's. I do think I will give the Powers a shot on my next set.
Anyway, knowing Y&B, no he's not joking.
and
Racindego, you should hit the bong a couple of times and relax a bit. No need in getting all fired up about it.
:fork
I've had nothing but good luck with my Corsa 3's. I have not ridden PP's, but I sold them to practically everybody on a sportbike in my area. I only did trackdays and races on BT-002s and was nervous about switching tires for a trackday when I hadn't done one in a year. I tried the corsa 3's 'cause I knew I would be on the street with them after the trackday. Ran 32 front & 32 rear and had no slippage issues although I was couple seconds slower than my previous year. The wear was great. I went with the 190/55. I chose this route over the PP 2CT because my fellow R1 trackday going buddy didn't care for them. No regrets here. Hope you were able to decipher this post.

What's a pud?
racindego 07-18-2008, 06:07 AM What's a pud?
From dictionary.com-
pud-
slang for "penis," 1939, from pudding in the same slang sense (1719); from the original "sausage" sense of pudding (q.v.).
Hope this helps :thumbup

krisnet55 07-22-2008, 07:33 AM I have had both pp2ct and am now running corsa 3. I like the corsa 3 more, I get a much better feel from the corsas and IMO handle much better. I also came to learn and noticed that the soft compound of the corsas are wider then the 2 ct, in other words the outter part which is the soft compound is wider. But as a guy above said to each their own. I have always been of the opinion that tires is a personal preference.

What exactly sucks about them ? I'm on my second set and I have no complaints I get about 1700 miles out of a rear (Pretty much shredded the whole profile side to side) and 2500 from a front .I did notice they like to be run at a higher psi than anything elese I've had and I think its beacuse the carcass is kinda soft.
vitrox 07-22-2008, 04:02 PM i lol'd at this thread. :)
Jerzyboy973 07-22-2008, 06:39 PM From what I hear the DCIII's grip like crazy but wear dumb fast.
vitrox 07-22-2008, 07:52 PM ^^ and you would be correct.. my sides are almost worn out and I mounted them up 2 weeks ago. :) track days do not help the situation though.

Yep ... sticks like shit to a blanket but it wears fast depending on where and how you ride.
I don't mind replacing tyres every 2 - 3k ... for the grip it's worth it. I wanted to get Rosso's the other day but they said it will land in 2 months
So I got my second set Corsa's ... time to get rid of 'em chicken strips :flex:

I got a set of Rossos for the $250 locally, getting fitted today so we'll see how the hold in the twisties, from what I hear they're a little harder than the DCIII's so the wear should be closer to what ppl are getting out of their PP's and the grips supposed to be awsome also.

Good price !
I'll give them a go the next time around, should be 3 - 4 K miles ! I read some good reviews on it.

You have yet to even being describing what "sucks" about the tires. Although I just switched to pure track tires (SuperCorsa's), I never had an issue with my Corsa III's and thought they were a good Street/ Track tire. And now that you have obviously pissed off a few forum members and have a good audience, why dont you try to offer some Constructive Critizism instead of just complaining about them? :crash
Skeeter 07-23-2008, 05:15 PM From what I hear the DCIII's grip like crazy but wear dumb fast.
Unfortunately, any good sticky street tire will not provide good wear mileage. You can't have your cake and eat it too. :lol
1hander 07-23-2008, 11:41 PM yea, its too bad that valentino rossi hasnt figured out that he made a mistake by not using michellins anymore they are incredible tires, look what they did for nicky
waaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahah

Oh, dear friend, I never said they sucked--you said that!
But, you know, now that I think about it, "Pirelli" is a pretty effeminate-sounding name for a serious sport tire. And, incidentally, most of those Ive known who liked them fell a bit on the limp-wristed side themselves.
Coincidence?
schambers 07-24-2008, 01:55 AM WTF.................

Pirelli Corsa III's ......$.02 :rock
(On SSPKWY....MAD Twisties....)
GREAT TIRES....IMHO....
AsianInvasian69 07-24-2008, 12:11 PM this thread is interesting
me and my friend have been going back and forth on which tires are better the 2cts and the corsa 3s
my r6 has 2cts and my r1 has regular corsas and my friends 1000rr has corsa 3s and we keep fighting on who makes the better tire
im gonna keep messing with the pressure on my corsas
but for right now the 2cts are the best tire ive used on the street
this goes for bridgestone bt014 015, countless dunlops, metelezer m1 and m3, and the regular pps
id say the same thing as our 1 but my friend on his 1000rr is just as fast as i am if not a little faster and we both ball up the tires
