Just installed my new hindle exhaust and PCIIIr with the BDE map, let me say what a world of difference. Not too loud but deffinitally throaty and can I say on the ass dyno it was off the chart.
Hindle Exhaust wtih PCIIIr and BDE map.Liquid02R1 01-07-2003, 09:44 PM Just installed my new hindle exhaust and PCIIIr with the BDE map, let me say what a world of difference. Where did you get your pipe and Power Commander? I got mine from Michaels in Reno(I am in Carson) took a while but it was worth it. Do you have a custom map or are you using the one that came with the PCIIIr? I am using the stock one right now just so I have something to compare with when I get a different map.I have a friend who rides a R-6 we are thinking of riding this weekend(sun-mon) pm me or answer back if you want to hook up.:rock Liquid02R1 01-18-2003, 08:12 AM I'm using the BDE map that Brock From Brock Davidson Enterprises (www.brockracing.com) developed for this exhaust for the R1. I'm up to ride on Sunday. Give me a call (cell 772-9550, Home 673-9101). I will try to arrange something with Wreckless. That is our team here. I'm acctually moving to Vegas next weekend so this will probably be my last ride here in Reno. AMS1 01-18-2003, 10:57 PM  My son has a wrestling tournament at 8:00 at North Valleys, should be done about 1:00(not too late in the afternoon i hope). Is Wreckless a stunt team? I saw a big F-250/350 on S Virginia with a sticker on the window but was going the other way and could not make all of it out.
My Cel: 690-4361-always on. Liquid02R1 01-20-2003, 12:32 PM Yes wreckless is a stunt team that we are just now getting together. There will be a meeting this sunday at wings and things on mill st. and terminal in reno at about 12 noon. I won't be there due to the fact that i'm moving this weekend to Vegas. The website should be up within a few days. www.wreckless.us.com check there for more info and everyone's email address. AMS1 01-20-2003, 10:22 PM Liquid, Sorry I didn't call sunday, Tournament ran late. Did not get back to Carson until after 5:00. I went on BDE site and could not find a map for a hindle exhaust, maybe not looking in the right place. Did find a map from dynojet that I put in today.Took it for a ride to tahoe, very happy. Good Luck in Vegas. Maybe I'll see you in june for the R-1 forum convention.

I too have a full Hindle with Pc3 installed. I must say that the difference in power is very significant. I am very pleased as are you. I had the full system without the PC3 for a few weeks, and now that I have the Pc3 fitted, I cant imagine riding without it. I am using the map from the powercommander page, any other recommendations? Liquid02R1 01-24-2003, 08:58 AM Well I have access to the BDE stuff because I bought the exhaust from brock himself ( www.brockracing.com ). I have heard that there is a map for the hindle on the maps page under the mechanical/help topic. I'm not sure if it is the same one that I have but i'm sure it is close. I'm going to take my bike to Dynojet in vegas sometime in the next few weeks to run it on the dyno there to see what kind of power i'm making. i will post the dyno sheet as soon as i get it done. throttle-cntrl 01-26-2003, 09:25 PM The map off of the powercommander page is my map. I had it developed at Olathe Suzuki when I very first put the system on... this was before even BDE had the maps developed.
If you have the same system as me I would think my map would pretty much spot on... but you never know. If in doubt take it in and have one made.... of course that will cost you a pretty penny. 300 bones.
l8r fellas.
DB
PS, the map on dynojet.com is the same as the one I sent Martin for his database.
BDE maps will not be posted anywhere, not for sale... they are exclusive to the BDE systems. KneeDragger77 01-26-2003, 09:31 PM Just a question... The only reason I did not get the "R" version of the PC3 was simply because I dont believe I needed it. It was my understanding that if you have internal engine work done, then having the benefit of timing adjustment at your fingertips is nice. However, most of us just have bolt on stuff, and therefore the PC3 suits us just fine.
So why do most go for the R version? Just a thought.... Rkrafty1 01-31-2003, 09:05 AM Kneedragger,
I have the "R" version too. I have heard from several racers and tuners that the R1 builds a little more top end horsepower with the timing retarded a few degrees at the upper RPM's. I am using the BDE map now, but will have a custom map done in a few weeks, ready for race season. I post it for everyone with the Hindle's to try out. I'm thinking it should be very close to the 150hp mark. throttle-cntrl 02-01-2003, 11:30 PM Originally posted by Rkrafty1

How did you get a BDE map ? I know of about a total of 5 people that own BDE systems...
To address the PCIII vs PCIIIR I figured I would get it just incase BDE wanted to make any timing changes... AMS1 02-01-2003, 11:38 PM throttle-cntrl,
If you do not mind i have a few questions,
1-How much difference do velocity stacks make in regards to a map?
2-What is the big difference beetween a BDE full system Hindle high mount and the high mount super sport from hindle?
3-If i get a BDE map for a bike with Hindle high mount supersport with a 20'' round can is it gonna screw things up if i do not have velocity stacks? throttle-cntrl 02-02-2003, 04:04 PM Originally posted by AMS1

The results concerning the stacks were.... They do help acceleration however they seem to take away just a bit on the top end... (I believe Brock said 1/2 a horse). So in my mind they are worth it for the acceleration factor. I mean if you were having a dyno shootout, you might want to run the stocks...
Anyways, the modifications that Brock makes to the Hindles is some kind of top secret info... (let me translate, "I have no idea")I assume it is maybe the can is packed and shaped but who really knows. As far as maps, he pretty much does all the tuning of these systems with the power commanders... and supplies you the maps when you buy his exhaust system. In theory saving you the 300 bucks at the dyno for a custom map. Not to mention do you want the guy with the worlds fastest streetbike tuning your engine or joe blow up at the dealership that has worked there maybe 3 or 4 years... eventually worked his way up to service manager and thinks he knows everything... heck its just a program they run now... they dont do any real tuning... for them to completely rely on this program is not the best thing... BDE does all final testing at the drag strip.... not on the dyno.
If you somehow got a BDE map and ran it would it hurt it... my answer is no tidbit 02-15-2003, 09:52 PM I'd like to see someone run a Hindle Race High w/BDE maps.. vs a BDE Hindle..
I got money there is no difference in the Hindle.. Just in the map.. :fact throttle-cntrl 02-16-2003, 08:50 PM You very well may be right... ! mjb 03-01-2003, 07:07 PM I just ordered the Hindle full race and I have the stacks ,so am I excited or what cant wait cant wait whoopee ,hope it makes the defference everyone is talking about ,anyone got any new maps for the pc3r for this setup, thanx Darkside 03-03-2003, 08:47 PM tidbit wrote

Tidbit, Doesn't Rated R have a hindle on his? Maybe this summer we can get AMS and Rated to do a shoot out for us. tidbit 03-03-2003, 11:01 PM AMS has a hindle High.. not a hindle RACE high.. and Patrick (Rated R) runs a gxxxxxsssrrrr... :bs like that'll be a good compairo..
btw he's also running a yosh tri ov.. so it'll be hard to run a shootout.. :finger | |
