Our Saturday night dinner is once again being sponsored by Yamaha Motor Corporation so buy up what you can next time you visit the dealerships + they'll be donating prizes like always and the first 100 sign ups are getting access to the Yamaha dinner on Saturday night.... lol We'll be having guests from ICON to do product presentations and giveaways. 2 Wheel Tuner and Motorcycle.com will be on hand to cover the event + I'll be writing articles for Super Streetbike. Snapz will be attending Saturday for sure and possibly Friday for all of the photo ops... Friday night we will be going to the CROT to give them a memorial box for Chad Clifton! The house boat will have a special quest DJ keeping things going LEGIT So please bring a few $ to tip the DJ....

and PLENTY more! I'll get a list of events going down that will include emergency contact #'s and info that everyone should carry on them during the event...

Had the First Up out this weekend so I could work on the car. I think that one needs to be retired. Hopefully they have them in stock and I can pick another and bring it to the Convention. In addition to the frame being bent to heck, the canvas has a few pinholes. :crash

I hope so. I have some eGay Taiwanese Sata knockoffs. I BENT my left one turning left and putting too much weight on it I guess. Plus their reverse pattern method puts the shift rod outside the frame rail which actually causes some flex issues. It uses a longer bolt and a spacer to attach to the arm. It flexes at the bolt cause its only like a 5mm bolt.

Just make sure that you Lock tight everything, I mean everything. Other wise you will be going to the store for a shifter knob. Right James LOL.

You can get coverage in towns and on some of the open road sections, and on some of the higher peaks, but your cell phone is pretty much useless on this trip.

I've got the bag of titanium screws that were in my foot from my highside. I wonder if I could make my own sparkies with them. Should be easy to screw into the Teknic pucks. :lol

You could. My leather skull pucks I had converted to sparkies. I bought some 6mm titanium rod off ebay, drilled them and force fitted it in there.

:fact. I used screws once and about ripped a puck off.

The hardest part is cutting the Ti stock. I used a dremel tool and the reinforced cutting wheels. 1 wheel will make about 2 cuts in a 6mm Ti rod before its toast. Ti rod will DESTROY a hacksaw or sawzall blade, even the better bi-metal blades.

What ever you make just ... make sure that the tie and puck material is smoothed off the top that way before you put your knee on the ground it wears evenly together.. Don't want anything catching and dragged your knee off... :fact

I rode Shady Valley/Boone, NC area last week. IMHO, roads are better overall in that area than in the Deal's Gap area.

Hey everyone... Just a heads up for Saturday...


We are doing a special presentation to the Crossroads in honor of Chad Clifton with a Memorial Box starting at 8am Saturday the 6th. The CROT will be serving breakfast to use during this time and it's order off the menu so bring money with you to pay for your own food and prepared to eat and be STUNNED from the incredible display that Kmac has put together for us in honor of Chad. Please estimate attendance for me so I can let the crot know.

After that at 10:00 am back at the Fontana Village Church Pegrider and Lana are getting married.

At 12:00 noon we are all meeting at the CROT again for a pig roast bbq. Cost will be $6 each and I'm going to need a estimate on who's going so they can be prepared. After that lunch we are doing our annual ride to the overlook and then we'll select a gratuitous phot spot... On the luncheon if someone before hand would like to collect $ from everyone and keep the names list it would make it easier on them so please STEP UP.....
