I am selling my helmet. It is a large and I have had it for about 5 months now. Perfect condition and I will leave the dark iridium shield I bought as well as give the original clear shield that came with it. I am asking $325 shipped. I will upload pictures when I get home tonight.

Build date?

Born third quarter of 03 but not purchased and used until about 5 months ago and as you all know the date which it is first used is the important date, not the born on date.

Build date is important too. A track day orginization that I run with will not let you run with a helmet that has a build date older than 4 years.

I would go through the trouble if there is someone that wants to buy it is asking. Otherwise I would move that discussion to another forum since this is the for sale forum.

The biggest thing that attributes to helmet degradation is wear and tear. Not only through normal use does a helmet start to break down because of the on and off of your head and carrying around but it also breaks down due to petroleum based products present in cleaners, paints, fuels and other commonly encountered materials. Hair oils and bodily fluids also contribute to the overall breakdown of liners.

I use to have the tommy gun which is an rx7 and i wore a large in that one. The fit was great. So if you wear xl this one may be a little snug. thanks for asking though!

Ok so my dumb ass was cleaning my shield the other day and I used regular windex which took off some of the iridium. I can still see through it but it's annoying. If someone buys it with the clear shield still coming, I will include a brand new 530 RK chain for free!!! That is a $90 value!!
