I ran through my regular pilot powers fairly quick and im looking forward to trying out a new tire. Those diablo rosso looks interesting but my buddies recently upgraded to the pilot power 2ct and they love them. Im after something that is good on the street something better than regular pilot powers. Any input is greatly appreciated!:rock

I just mounted a set of 2ct's, usually run supercorsa's but got a good deal on these and thought I'd give them a try for street riding. Grip, is very good in the Mtn's, seem to warm up fast. Can't give any input on wear yet, I only rode two rides on them, but I don't buy tires for wear. I'd say give them a shot, lots of people seem to love them much more girp than regular pp's.

You may give the dual compound "Hyper Sport" tires such as the Corsa III, Bridgestone BT-002RS or the 2CT's a try.

If you're looking for better wear out of a 2ct, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed. Same compound as the PP in the center of the tire. The Rosso has less ultimate grip than a 2ct, but will wear longer. In addition, the front Rosso should exhibit more even wear than the 2ct, which has developed a reputation for highly triangular wear pattern when ridden hard, disrupting rider confidence after a couple thousand miles.

I just put a set of 2ct's on my bike for the track and I am very disappointed. I upgraded from the regular powers and I wish I would have gone with qualifiers or something else. I found the 2ct to be a low performing tire, the bike was moving all over the place and just couldn't seem to get the power to the pavement. For the street I am sure they are fine.... for the track... no thanks.... Mine have one track day on them... you want to buy them??

I had regular PP's on for about 7k miles and numerous trackdays I actually managed to wear them evenly on the front, but the center turned flat on the rear from the girlfriend commute last year. I put Corsa III's on and they're AWESOME so far. I did about 200 miles this weekend through the mountains, after a few miles of scrubbing and break in I let them sit for a day, came back and beat on them pretty good on Sunday. They are great for grip. Compared to the 2CT's my friend has on his R6 I can't say I see much difference at full lean, but at intermediate lean, I like the CIII's better since the soft rubber is farther towards the center on them, it's more stable at med/heavy lean than the 2CT is at medium/heavy. At full lean (heavy) I can't really see a difference since both tires are on the soft compound. I did about 60 miles of our favorite mountain ride on both bikes this weekend to compare since he asked the same thing (I think he wanted to ride the R1 again too...)

2ct's here and I love em. Just street use for now but I feel like I push them pretty hard. I wish I would have logged how many miles but I can say these have outlasted the OEM tires the bike had.

I have quite a few stree rides on mine, but would not take them to the track. Good street tire for a weekend in the curves, which is exactly what it's made for.

the pp site says standard rear is best for track, like others said the 2ct goes triangle. but fine on the street. you get the idea, i want to try 2ct's too.

I am using the 2ct's here in Italy where the roads have crushed marble in them. I love them. I am running a 180 rear and never have a problem with grip unless it is sprinkling and the oil is just rising. I do pretty good in a rain or if the roads are wet though. Depending on the mileage I get out of them I will replace them.
