My Micron exhaust is well made and gets lots of attention. I got a high mount CF slip-on for my red 2002 R1, but am converting it to a low mount.
However, God help you if you need customer service from them.
When the dealer opened the parts bag (after removing my stock exhaust), they found one of the clamps was missing when mine arrived... the lower one, between the connecting pipe and stock header.
I checked every place in town to find something suitable, with no luck. Since it was a Saturday, they put it together with a couple of hose clamps so I could ride Sunday.
The next week, I called Mike McCoy at www.tobefast.com. He suggested I call Micron directly, because I would probably get the clamp faster.
When I did, the people at Micron basically called me a liar. I've never been treated so badly over a $20 missing piece in a $400 purchase. They finally agreed to send one, but it never arrived.
Fortunately, McCoy Motorsports stands behind their customers, even if Micron doesn't. Mike ordered a new clamp and sent it to me for less than their dealer cost.
I will buy from Mike again in a heartbeat -- they have some of the best customer service around -- but it won't be Micron!

Nonetheless, props to Mike and the gang at McCoy's. I order most of my stuff from them.

Absolutely! He either understands the need to build a loyal, repeat customer base... or he's such a nice guy that he just treats people well.
Probably a combination of the two.

Don't recall if he was the person I dealt with, but they were rude and, as I said, basically accused me of being a liar.
For crying out loud, I'm a 45 year old professional and can easily afford to buy a new clamp... and wouldn't try to screw Micron out of one if I'd lost it. There was absolutely no excuse for them to treat a customer that way.

A spring broke on my Micron the other day, I hate to call them for a replacement now. I already called them once because it was missing a spring when I bought it, and they sent me new packing material(fibergalss) for free. Mike at McCoy is definately a straight up good buinessman though.

I have noticed that. I called a few times for information and they have been more than rude to me. Seems like they didnt care that I needed info on their products. It seemed like they just want to get off the phone as fast as possible. None the less I like their cans and have one on my bike at this time.

RLMEsq,
If you get tired of your Micron slip-on, give me a shout. I've got a spare carbon Akra that's amost brand new sitting on my shelf in the garage. I bought a full Akra system w/Ti can. Was going to keep the slip-on in case I missed the EXUP for street riding. Nope. For sale, cheap. By the way, I like Micron too, got one sitting on the shelf from my old R6.
