After replacing my clutch with OEM version and putting on my R1 2004 around 200 miles, I start to experience some issues with disengaging clutch.
My bike was always running on Motul 15W50 and 10W40 and I never had any issues connected to oil.
Disengaging clutch was a pain in the ass only on low rpm, once rpm reach 6K rpm's everything was back in the business.
With every day it was getting worst and worst to the point that in order to get the clutch in I had to wait 3 sec. Not a single adjustment help me so the gasket cover went off the bike and the mystery got resolved. The friction plates were so damn glued together with pressure plates that mechanic couldn't not believe what he see.
At that point we know few facts:
- friction plates before mounted into the bike were sitting in mobile1 10w40 and everything was super slippery.
- Just before my clutch went bad I changed my oil and put some fresh motul 15W50 together with oil filter and shortly after that maintenance I got myself into deep shit!!!
Now the clutch is clean and oil flushed, I want to soak everything in the same oil that the engine is running on.
Did anybody came across issues like mine ad had a good trouble shooting on it? What in my case would you recommend?

I use all Motul product in my bike being Motulcool, and Motul 300 Ester V. No worries, the oil IMO is better then other premium line oil from the other product Ive tried.
Sounds peculiar, but I trust someone here might have an idea.

Thanks for reply guys!!!
This is what I have now, after dumping fresh 15W50 full synthetic (that was painfull $45 just fu@#$:rant thrown away) and replacing it with motul 300V 10W40, cleaning the clutch plates with QD Electronic cleaner my problem seems to be resolved:thumbup!!!
I did some ride yesterday and I can tell you its a night to day comparement.
All this mess still doesn't make much sense:dunno, both oils were full synthetic they should blend without a problem. I almost want to make some temperature tests with mixing them together on the pan :fire
I hope this wont gone happen again after additional 300miles ;/
You all have a great Labor weekend:drunk:!!!

Glad you got you problem sorted out :)
I use Motul 300v factory line no problems bike runs great
just getting back to what happened to your clutch i think it is a very bad idea to ever mix oils even if both are synthetic.
I think you will find that every oil company makes the synthetic componets of their oil in a different way and mixing them may cause you to end up with a very different type of oil than you started with.
for example Motul 300v Factory Line to my knowledge uses (2) plant componets hence the smell and colour.

I fully agree with you, this is what I was talking about while arguing with mechanic. He user mobile1 for installation process without even thinking about oil I had on my bike. For him motul just suck, for me motul is everything, I'm using it now for 8 year in the row and never had any problems on my bikes...
Thanks for reply!!!
