k&n oil filter number

I have seen some saying use the kn-204 but there website say kn-303. Which it the right one?

the 204 is shorter and for the new R6. the 303 and 303c (chromed) is for the R1:thumbup

I use #204 for my 2008 R1. changed the oil twice now.. bike only has 1,2XX miles.

One more question. If my kawi uses a different k&n filter than the r1, 204 vs a 303, why do they say use the same pure1 and basically all other filters? Why are the k&ns different numbers?
