Hey guys
Wanting your advice please!
I have a 5PW Facing backwards in the front of a Mini! take a look at my profile picy & you will see the set up!
Im just wondering weather to dry sump another engine or baffle it or just add a little more oil????? :dunno

I used to work on a Westfield with an R1 motor in and baffling it is a MUST! I was driving the car when it threw a rod after about 20 miles because the owner forgot to put the baffle back in when he swapped motors :fact
Do not run it without doing something to rectify what will inevitably become a large problem for you mate...

Thanks m8 thats great info! Iv just put a little bit more oil in for now but im defo going to get a baffle :thumbup

Please, please, please make sure you do and remember, running too much oil can sometimes be as dangerous as not enough :fact
I really would recommend sorting that out before running the car though, the cornering yous engine is mounted completely the wrong way round for even straight line acceleration oil-pickup let alone cornering slosh.

Yeah i have only put a little more in just above the line just to help
Hmm i was thinking myself about straight line etc! but it seems to be ok.
i will hopefully have it sorted asap! we are in winter after all & its going nowhere lol

They all seem to be okay until they go bang! :lol I had no warning whatsoever that the Westfield was going to s**t itself...
