Be concerned no matter where you are. A lot of guys lock together and then to a big post or overhead beam or bring it inside the hotel room. Lots of bikes get jacked every year even though they usually have a task force set up to prevent it. Salinas has the crime rate of Oakland. Lot of the hispanic gangs run really heavy up there.

DavidSFC, yeah I just got back to the office after hitting up my friends house in Fashion Valley. Man O Man were the SDPD out in force tonight! Update on bike: my tail is back put together, getting the rear set replaced was a pain in the ass!!! I stripped out two of my hex keys trying to take the old one off. Got the new fairing stay on. I just have to finish painting the nose fairing and lower right and everything will be put back together. The mid fairings look pretty sick, they're not exactly color matched perfectly, but it looks tight nonetheless! ETA to completion is Thursday right now, and if plans stay as they are, pics of the new colored fairings on the bike will be up by this weekend!
