Take It 2 The Track (http://ti2tt.com/ti/ti2tt/index.html) is doing both, SOW is August 8-9 and $125 apiece, and Buttonwillow is August 23 and $170. If there's any other Dragons out there that would be down I've got the itch and my work schedule doesn't clear until August, so this is lookin' like a 90% go for me as of right now.

Yeah, I can't give a 100% yes or no answer on this. I think that the answer should be that I could get a bike from ANYWHERE and register.

I had already started living in CA and had changed over my DL to CA from VT when my bike came from VT with valid registration in another persons name with the title signed to me and a bill of sale.

The kind hearted sole at the DMV asked if the bike was here and I said yes. To that she stated that I needed to take it out of state and asked if I needed a transit pass or was I going to trailer / have it shipped.

Red Flags when up for me!! I told her that I lived here for sure but that the bike was from the settlement of an estate. And a gift to me. That I was Military and still no love.

I asked her to see where it said that on the papers that I had filled out. She handed them all back to me. I looked and there was nothing. That wasn't the reason I wanted them back. Then I asked if she had entered anything into the computer yet. She stated no because I was not allowed to register. I said well then I don't need that pass I'll call my wife and put it in the back of the truck and take it to my brothers house in AZ.

That was a total lie. I called my sister in VT. Had here buy another years registration, in VT it's only $22.00 a year. What a joke right? I got the sticker in the mail from her put it on the plate and rode it for 7,800 miles before showing back up at DMV.

I guess you could say I just put my blinker on and went right around the problem.

Gilman and I had the need to go tear it up today. We actually don't have any pics, 'cause we didn't stop from our rapid pace other than quick gas. If Master dumbazz would have turned the camera on vs. off when we hit Montezuma, you would have been able to see me leave nice rubber on most of the turns up the mountain.

Thanks for helping me break the 2,000 Mile mark on a 9 day old R1! Good thing I have new rubber waiting to go on. I looked at the tires tonight an they are a touch more then halfway done in.

Got word from an old lady at Ralph's that Oak Glen is pretty nice and I checked it out, there's a road called Pisgah Peak Rd that looks pretty f'n intense that goes right up there to Oak Glen. Who's down for a visit to "Apple Country" one of these weekends?

Wow I am fvcking beat! I got to the LZ this morning at about 7 this morning and we started blowing off the riding range at about 7:45. Started with a bit of class time, and then headed out to the range for some basic throttle drills. After that more class, and then we finally broke for lunch at about 1:45 and had to be back by 2:15. Once returned we had a bit more class time, followed by a shit ton of range time, getting turning down, trying to get a knee down, but not there yet. Tomorrow though for sure, I was told I'm about 3-4 inches away. I will be taking my camera tomorrow and possibly video camera so that I can get some pictures and possibly video. I didn't get home tonight until about 8:30, so I am done cakes! Back out there tomorrow morning bright and early. If I'm going to be late to Claim Jumpers tomorrow, I will call to inform, but I will be starving I know that!

Tyler, glad to hear you had a good time AND got a knee down. Don't sweat the plastics. I have ripped up so many sets of those things it isn't even funny.

It does make you a better rider in my opinion. We learn not to fear falling off. Each time I get off it hurts less and less because I have learned over the years to just let go and not fight it.

it did feel good to just let go and trust in that amazing machine. It just so happens though that it was a tiny bit of plastics, and a hole in the crank case where the lower fairing hooks in. Nothing that a little JB Weld can't fix though. On the brightside, I needed an oil change and now I don't have to drain it:crash:rock I won't be going to the Track Day because I have work, I'll be doing a field exercise that starts that weekend and work is taking that as we're going to the desert for that time period...weapons and all (uber ghey!)

Tyler, no I have not had the chance to run them yet. However, a good friend of mine just finished a track day and claims that they are head and shoulders above the P-DCIII's. A tire that he swore by. I have run the P-DCIII's and like them over anything else I have run to date.

I have a brand new set of the Mich Power One sitting in my garage waiting for the stock OEM equipped D209's to die. Which is my case might be sooner then I expected. I have 2300 miles to date on the D209's and I am already past the wear bar on the front tire and darn close to the same on the rear.

Gonna have to stop running up so many miles so that I'll have fresh Power One's for our track day on the 17th. After I run them I'll PM you my thoughts on them.

work on your form, concentrate on making that right instead of just getting knee down and you will end up being faster with the ability to get knee down anytime you please.


grom got on my case when i said i was trying to get knee down, he had me start workin on my form

Yeah, I'm the same way, my right turns have always been my weak side, but that's the side I got the lowest and got my knee down before I hit loose gravel.

my turn radius seem (to me) to be equal.. its just that when i lean right my leg doesnt go out... it goes down

I picked them up and installed them on Thursday. Sound better then stock down low and at start up. That and they clean up the tail section. Two Brothers was not my first choice but at $725 shipped to my door I decided for money I could swallow my pride and live without Akro, GYTR, Graves, etc.

In the short term raise your pegs and lower your knee....cuz me and all hell are coming for you! You better be the fastest thing on two wheels I've ever seen.
