Sorry Cadman my question appears to have mislead. What I meant to ask was have the UK members of the forum ever had a group buy?

i dont think they have, not since i've been on !!, depends what it was for ?, i just bought greggs flushmounts as well ! pity we couldnt have made a saving there? i suppose there is a bigger marget over there (then again) . Dont see why we cant be included in group buy, just more for postage for us ??, worth a look into !

Wolfie ... I suppose I'm trying to get something going here however, plenty views + few replies = minimal intrest.
I've seen 3 or 4 guys from the UK talking about, for example, Greggs flush-mounts and you've just bought a pair (same year bike as mine). Even if we just got free shipping to the UK for half a dozen sets it would be something. BUT .... I don't know how its done (ie after the initial bid to the vendor). I mean ... how do you get everybody's payments together or do we each pay the vendor individually until he has all the names on the list and then he ships. Who coordinates the whole deal. What happens if someone drops out etc etc etc.

Perhaps the US boys could offer some advice here?

Mind you wolfie, it looks a bit of a pain in the ass if this thread is anything to go by.

Surely they can't all be this difficult.

I could help you guys out as far as saving money on shipping things and paying customs. I can recieve via the US Postal Service at the same price as if you were mailing something within the US, and I don't pay duties or customs on it also. Long as it's not huge that is. It don't have to be a group buy either, if someone thinks I could help them save money let me know.

Yeap, you'd definately come in handy there mate. If we buy more or less anything thats valued at over £18 (27 euros/$29) from outside the EU we have to pay VAT and import duty!!

Also, for you guys out there who are after Greggs, drop him a line, he may do you a deal on a bulk buy....

Gregg's prices are INCLUSIVE of postage, no matter where you live in the world (which I think is pretty cool of him to offer stuff to us at the same price as he sells to people over there even though it must cost him loads more on P&P)

I take your point though, we could do a group discount here in the UK if there was something loads of people want.
I was just stating that I have pretty much everything now aprt from crash protectors which I have now ordered and CF parts I can't afford!

Which sliders did you go with? I was just looking at the Dynomite set, 4 @ £105.

I gotta add that I'll only be here till the end of this year. I'll be moving back to the states in August or September.
