At a recent track day in honor or our lost forum brother forum members under the organization of Ben "Goobr" were able to raise an incredible amount of funds to make a donation in their honor for Road Racing World's Air Fence Fund. Below is a copy of the letter that will be sent tomorrow along with the funds. Things like this make me proud to be apart of this network and allow us to lead the way for all to follow! Thank you Ben and everyone that participated and donated!

Subject: Air Fence Donation in Remembrance of Glenn "ElvisWarrior" Breaux and Chad "GaWarrior" Clifton

On February 28 and March 01, 2009, the Yamaha R1 and R6 Forums had our annual "ElvisWarrior Memorial Track Day" in remembrance or our fallen forum brothers. The ride was stretched out over the entire weekend this year at JenningsGP in Jennings, Florida. As everyone road and attended the weekend Glenn and Chad were in the heart's and mind of everyone that attended.

Glenn and Chad's families both asked us to donate our proceeds to the charity of our choice. We could think of nothing better than to what Glenn and Chad loved to do most, road racing! Both would love that fact that they could enhance safety and to help save lives when track mishaps happen.

Please accept our humble donation in the amount of $2336.12 to buy air fences to place where you see fit. This donation is in the remembrance of Glenn Breaux (ElvisWarrior) and Chad Clifton (GaWarrior). We love them and miss them so much.

Thank-you and we appreciate you for providing such a wonderful service for all us riders.

Wasn't all me boyz.
GPD270 put up the bucks to secure the track. Even though he's my nephew, I look to Scott for back-up. He's one totally cool dude. We got's good genes. :)

DanQ and Skeeter provided untold amounts of "shoulder" when things were lookin' sorta south.

Ultimately, it's you guys and gals that made this thing happen. :rock:rock:rock

Awesome! And humbling.

Showing up there and being part of everyone's weekend was one of the greatest honors I've had in a long time. Working with Ben, Scott, and Randy to coordinate as much as we could runs neck-and-neck with being allowed to tow and chase a couple people around. I had a really fantastic time, and did it all the while knowing we'd have a few dollars to donate. That we had so much of a good time and raised the amount we did rests squarely on the shoulders of everyone who attended. Motivated and driven by Scott and Ben, we all did a great job!

Anything Randy, Scott and Ben need... please let me know. I'd be honored to stand along side you guys for anything.

Thanks to those who attended, and my extended track family for making this happen.

For all those who couldn't make it and those of us that slipped in after the deadline for payment (myself included), this event is one that shouldn't be missed. Forget about the fact that you get to spend the weekend with an incredible group of like-minded individuals doing the vary thing that you all love! How often do we have the opportunity to do that while honoring the lives of those that have past and giving to a cause that will hopefully save a few lives in the future?

As long as we continue to do this event, I will make a commitment to do everything in my power to be there. And, I'll be paid in full ahead of time. :)

And we'll continue to make it happen somehow. I promise.

One of my all-time favorite movies is "Stripes". This scene reminds me of all us. :lol
