I just picked it up yesterday and haven't got a chance to ride it yet because of the snow/rain. Anyway, I start it up today and it runs fine for a couple of minutes.
I hop on it, pull in the clutch, and shift into first. It surges forward just a bit and immediately dies.
I try to restart it and it won't fire. The engine doesn't turn over. All I get is this weird buzzing sound when I hit the start button. The buzzing sound is coming from somewhere under where the passenger seat would be.
Tried cycling the key on/off. A couple of times, after I hit the start button and got the buzzing, the display and tach would do the start-up routine even though I didn't cycle the key.
The battery is at 12.12 V. Also verified that it is has nuetral.
Any ideas?

Buzzing sound plus 12.12V indicates a low voltage battery. According to the service manual you should have anything above 12.4V. I just ran out and checked mine and it's at 12.7V and I haven't run my bike in a long time. Says anything below 12.3V needs charging, anything at 12.0V or below needs a new battery. Put the battery on a charger, get it higher than 12.4V and try it.
12.12V is only about 50% charged for your battery. Probably didn't get serviced properly from the dealer. Put it on a trickle charger, no more that 0.8A for 10hr. It should come up to about 12.65V, although it will read higher due to its surface charge. The buzzing is the starter solenoid attempting to engage, this will fix itself with the charged battery. As for the stall, read your owners manual and make sure the clutch cable is properly adjusted.

yup like diel said 12.2 is low average battery rests at 12.8 ish
trickle charger
let it run and ride it.....
you need the revs up to keep the battery charging
if u continue to have problem have the dealer replace it

Thanks guys. I came to the same conclusion myself.
When I turned it on and THEN checked the battery... Only 9.5 V.
So I ran out and bought a trickle charger (I should have had one for the quads anyway).
