Starting problems 06 R1 :-(

Can anyone help me with the following problem please. I have a 2006 model R1 and when I try and start it, a clicking noise comes out from below the seat. I figured I have a flat battery as the bike is around 3 years old now. Put the new battery in, charged it up and started staight away. Unfortunately a couple of days later when I try to start it, the bike turned over very slowly or it just a clicking noise from below the seat. So I then thought I have a charging problem. Ran the bike at 5000rpm and got 14.4V across the battery which indicates the charging system is working. Feeling very frustrated, any help would be appreciated!

First post ... welcome ....sounds as if maybe a parasytic draw maybe on system....3 year old battery died ...second battery died ....checked charging system ....14 volts plus ...all seems in order ....check milliamp draw from battery and post up findings....

Actually, I did install a 12v accessory charging system to charge my phone when I went to MotoGP last year down at Phillip Island. I will try removing that and see how I go. Thanks for the help mate!
