You were able to watch anything on the old WSBK website. Now the website has been upgraded and i'm still trying to figure out where are the race downloads.

Speed doesn't show Pole, the second race till Tuesday,British Superbike races or anything else that good for that matter.
Fact is a lot of people download these races and I believe most would like to watch them without knowing the results first.

Slow down the lynch mob. Admin has clarified many times that it's a motorcycle forum, where people are invariably going to be in here to discuss current events, racing, results, etc....there is no stopping it, nor should there be. It's a Yamaha site and Yamaha and an American are tearing up WSBK.......it's BIG news. The forum is useless if the info posted has to be outdated. I don't like it any more than the rest of you do, but that's the way it is.

I am not asking for people to hold back results or curb their enthusiasm for Yamaha or Ben Spies, but I think it is more than reasonable when people ask for the results to be inside a thread and not in the thread title. I understand it is a Forum and as such members should have some courtesy towards others and a simple "Spoiler" in the title solves any problems.

+10 - I fully agree with KMac, if I'm concerned about getting spoiler news I don't go on the applicable site until I've viewed the race (F1, WSBK etc). I'm always aware that if I go on any site like this I'm taking the chance and I'm fine with that!! My two cents!!

I don't disagree with any of that. It seems like an easy thing, but invariably there will be someone who still posts it. I don't think they do so with bad intentions, they just assume others are watching it and might want to discuss it. Then, there's the fact that it's not the race info that was spoiled.....so how far does it need to be taken? I think I know where the line should be, but I'm only 1 of 80,000+ members.

Frankly, my biggest gripe is with SpeedTV. If they didn't delay everything for DAYS I could stay on top of things, but at any given moment on a Sunday I can be flipping channels, surfing the web, checking schedules, etc....and a friggin' headline will ruin an outcome of something. :rant

I guess I shouldn't blame SpeedTV, WSBK is the one who signed on the dotted line with them.

Well, Spies is out for race one.

You could tell just as the camera cut away that he was FLYING into that corner.......a little too much obviously. Too bad. I think he may win a lot of races, but it's gonna be hard to win championship if he keeps giving up big chunks of points to Haga.

I'm all about Spies winning them all, but its also good to see Haga having some consistency and finishing races........I'm sure like Spies, Haga will have his bad weekend too....It never fails.

I think Ben could have taken one win in Valencia. His crash in the first race dropped his confidence level as well as he used the number 2 bike in race 2.

Ok now that I have gotten a jab in on our favorite :moto:lets talk about the race.

I was sad to see Ben go down so quickly in race 1. I understand what he was doing and he took a shot. I guess I admire that more then hanging back and letting Haga get away while he waited for Max to run wide or whatever. He took a shot and missed.

Now onto something I don't understand. How can the "Second Bike" be any different from the "First"? It is a factory funded team. Why unless its a lack of time / manpower issue can't the second bike be set up exactly the same as the first? What I mean is I am sure whatever settings they have on the first bike must be written down someplace and could then be dialed in on the second at the sametime they do the first bike or shortly thereafter. I guess I just don't understand how the set-up for the second bike could be so hard to come by especially since he was out of race 1 so quickly.

In race 2 if Ben had gotten a better start I think he would have had a chance to at least keep the gap between first and second place time wise much closer then 5 seconds an change. Either way he made the key passes when he needed to and kept his head down the rest of race 2 and took second place.

Like someone mentioned above. I bet there will be a day when Haga reverts back to his old ways and has a "Moment" to put it in terms the SPEEDtv guy's used.

A couple of first place finishes and Ben will be within striking distance for a close run at the championship. It's only his first year in WSBC and I suspect next year might be his year. If things don't go according to plan this year.
