There will be a live fire, rifle marksmanship event in Ramah, Colorado (and probably 100 other cities around the country) on the weekend of April, 19th and again the end of May. Check it out, any one interested let me know, we will be able to do it as a group.

I think I actually have some time off that weekend.... I'd be down...wonder if its legal to carry an AR or any weapon in that case on your back or poking out of a back pack in the open in CO:lol


That is the only thing I could bring to hit something at 500 yards, and damn I have not even sited my scope in yet, and I don't think a red dot setup will cut it at that range....

Which one? I am thinking I will do the one in May.

You can carry that rifle as long as it is unloaded, remind me when we do your compression test, I have a soft case for an AR.

Did you not get iron sights with your rifle, if not let me know and I'll get you set up, the class prefers iron sights, but it is not required.

Sat should be good. Make sure that none of the rifle is visable, put something over the barrel that sticks out of the pack, it is legal to carry it, but no point in getting some cop all wound up.

actually I was thinking..... I'm going to be out there at the track all day friday if you are home after 5 I'll probably swing by and I guess I can bring it out then and if there is time to do the compression test.

Also attending this event allows you to meet the club membership, and fire arm competency requirement so you can purchase rifles and ammo from the government, including M1 Garands and M1 Carbine.

I am planning on attending this event that is scheduled for the 30th and the 31st of May. Any one else intereste in going?
