Im just looking for someone to get together with for a couple hours at night and do some riding here in the springs last couple days just been going out by myself and ridin just put in 2 hours tonight, i dont expect it all of the time but everonce in a while after work would be great!

LOL, man go to Wal-Mart, find a battery that is the same size and stick it in there.... You have to shave a little plastic, but well worth saving the 120 bucks for a battery. Also, Apex sells them for 178

already put a brand new battery in there same problem

I have replace the stator and rectifier on a ton of bikes.... if you have a volt meter get it started and test the VDC while its running...rev a few times and see if it jumps, if it is continually dropping either the stator or rectifier are toasted and its usually the rectifier that goes first, I'd replace both at the same time anyways, rectifier runs about 80+ and a stator is over a hundred bucks. If it won't turn over to start, bump start it on a hill and then test, but do not ever jump a bike off a running car! To test the stator test each of the 3 prongs in the plug connecting to the rectifier, that connector usually gets toasted over time as well. If its just a battery thats the least of your problems, if its sat all winter without a tender I'd put 5 bucks on it going bad. This is far fetched but if you have replaced your headlights recently make sure they were the correct amp and watt rating for a bike. I just went through a month fiasco of a friend's Ka-Tuna that even baffeled Faster Motorsports of the problem. New battery, charging sytem checked out ok, and looked for a short. Turned out the tool he bought it from had 150watt headlights in it killing the battery within 10 minutes, it wasn't the charging system, just a thought.....

You know the round cover opposite the clutch? That would be them. Since bikes have no altenator they use a strator and rectifier

I am up for riding both days. I get off work at 9am and have the rest of the day to do whatever, usually go to the shop and work, but if there is a ride I am gone!

The best place to meet that is centrally located is the diamond shamrock on the corner of oro blanco and Barnes, at least that is where we usually meet. We could also meet at my shop, that way if anyone is running late, we have a place to kick it for a bit, plus there is a gas station across the street to top off or get something to drink. It is on the corner of Galley and Wooten inside the computer store.

Stator is inside the left case cover...its a magneto that plugs into your rectifier that changes the voltage from AC to DC.... I'd get a voltmeter and test it yourself before you spend a load on someone else doing it. Takes a minute or two to test minus the time to pop the seat off. Stealership will cahrge 75 bucks minimum for the test..... if you need a hand let me know... If I remember right I was making 458hp.... not important for diesels

Your guess sounds a little low. This first generation Dodge of mine is one of the only ones you will see with 2X or better horse to torque ratio, something about these old rotary pumps. It is possible to get a max of mid 500 horse, but that is over 1100 TQ!!!! The engine I am building should be upper 400HP and around 1K TQ, ported head, regound cam, ceramic coating and dryfilm coatings,twin turbos, you know just a basic rebuild. If I remember right I was making 458hp.... not important for diesels

I also know how to do a strator... Just be careful the magnet will crush your finger if you get the wrench too close.

We are for SURE going out tuesday... I can't go ride tomorrow... Need to spend time with the wife before she goes to Iraq. Hopefully we can round up a few more ppl... And as far as opening my bike up, there is going to be no waiting.... I opened it up on Powers on the way home... Got up to 156 REAL quick... The bike does NOT stop pulling... I figured I should slow down a little bit (it was only 4th gear)

They make the flat undertail for the 04-06 as well and it took about 2 years for people to even find it on this forum after it had been out that long. I just got told today that i cant ride my bike anymore because some gay ass army stuff. the unit that im in wants to make all of these gay ass rules that we gotta follow to even have a bike then once you meet all of those they want to make another set. i think its just there way of telling us that we shouldnt have bikes i cant wait to pcs to new mexico hope it isnt gay down there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. besides the fact that i think that rocky mountain motorcycle blows because i went in and ordered a part like last friday/saturday and i call them for a status yesterday and they were like oh we just ordered it this morning it will take about a week to 10 days now!!
