2009 R1 Filter numbers

Purolator Pure One PL14610 filter is the old 07-08 # ...this should cross over to the 09 right?

07-09 have the same oem filter part number so it should.

if I remember correctly ..isn't there a variation in the pure ones where one is actually longer

Purolator pure one PL14612 2.5" Purolator pure one PL14610 3.25" The pure ones 98% multi pass efficiency are more efficient than plain Purolators or so they say. Will the 3.25" one fit a stock 09 R1?

if I remember correctly ..isn't there a variation in the pure ones where one is actually longer I've used both - 14610 is slightly longer than the 14612. I had to switch to the '12 when I got my Akra header, as the '10 was too long...but either will work with stock header on the 07-08 bikes. I'd try the '10 and see if it will work, as you'll have slightly more oil capacity.

Purolator Pure One have a 98 and even a 99% efficiency that has some grip stuff on it. The comparison I saw had the k&n in the DO NOT BUY GROUP with fram. The good ones were Purolator Pure One, Mobile M1, Bosh and Supertech.

The automotive type filters have the wrong By-Pass Valve in them.. The M/C Filter is set to pop off totally at 8 PSI The Automotive is set to gradually open starting at 9 PSI and fully open at 11 PSI Bob
